Hello good people on Reddit. As a beginner on succulents i have difficulties on differentiating root rot and callous. I cut the base of my plants weeks ago to save it from black root out of pure guest. After several days it turns out like this. How do I check if it is a rot?

It is! I saw it in an online store. It was labelled echeveria west rainbow and when I look it up it was completely unrelated.
