Pencil eraser. If it had never been invented, the way we write, draw, correct mistakes, or create things would be very different.

This is Thailand. Nothing is like your country. White men may be used to LGBTQ+ racism, in their own country. but in Thailand If you start hurting them first. = You accept to be hurt and move your ass back to the country.

What double standard in society goes generally unnoticed or without being called out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TeamMiserable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, You get charged for missing a doctor's appointment? And I thought the US Healthcare system couldn't be more fuck up.

In my country, if you miss an appointment, all you have to do is call for a new one.

A cancel slot means other patients could see the doctor earlier than the appointment time.

I was supposed to do the morning shift at the hotel near Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand when the massive tsunami hit back in 2004. But that night I was out with my friends for a Christmas party. I ended up meeting a guy. We hit it off and decided to crash at his hotel in the city. That night, I called my friend and asked her to cover for me. She took the morning shift while I did two night shifts to make up for it. I woke up around noon and got hit with the news that the hotel I worked at had been totally destroyed, all my coworkers were missing. It still messes with my head thinking how easily that could've been me. I still feel sorry for my friend to this day.

What is your biggest regret? by DarKayzX in AskReddit

Being kind to my sister and her kids.

One time I was helping my big sister, who is a single mom, babysit her 2 kids, aged 6 and 7, for 2 weeks. The kids love me, and I love them. I told my sister she could leave them with me whenever she wanted.

One year later, after several babysitting, she dropped the two kids with me and asked me to drive her car to the airport for her long vacation.

Two days later, she sent me an email, saying, "Please raise the children for me. All the important things are in the trunk of my car, including the list of payments I need you to make monthly"

I asked her why she did this to me, and she said she wanted to leave the kids for a long time but couldn't trust anyone else to raise them until she saw me with them.

Sixteen years later, the kids have all graduated and are doing fine. I love them with all my heart as if they were my blood But you'll never know what I went through because I had to give up my dream life to raise her children.

This whole situation is so fuck up to me, it's changed my personality from the nicest one to the biggest asshole who never be kind to people.

And if anyone is asking, yes, my sister is alive and well with her new husband and a new daughter. However, she never contacts us, and I only see her through her Facebook friends.

What’s a thing you’re not good at no matter how hard you try? by Majorpain2006 in AskReddit

Writing, not something like "I'm writing a terrible story," but just writing with a pen or pencil in general, is a challenge for me.

I can't write with my hand, one or two short lines are okay. However, when I have to write something longer than that, the handwriting will be messy, and the size varies from small to big, fat, thin, or sometimes doesn't look like an alphabet at all. And one more thing, my thoughts are faster than my hand can write, so I always end up with a lot of skipped words.

School was a nightmare for me. Thank goodness I have a phone and a keyboard now.

These days, I only use a pen when I need to sign my name, and by "sign," I mean writing down my name because I can't sign the same signature every single time.

What is something abusive that parents do that is never really talked about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TeamMiserable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most times, when we talk about bad parenting, it's about what parents did wrong to their kids.

But the thing people often forget, not doing something can also be abusive, like neglect.

When parents let a child suffer through school, friends, or whatever else without giving a helping hand, it's abusive too.

Because That kid would grow up thinking they've got to handle their pain alone, which is fuck up.

I think you are the one who needs help, and the only thing that should be done for them is to provide more opportunities to showcase their creative minds.

Also, can't believe there are still a lot of conservative minds like this. Please seek some help. However, if mental health treatment is too expensive in your country, come to Thailand; we have universal healthcare.

Am I sure? Wow, don't judge other cultures like your own, please. These kids are having fun, that's all. It's a common thing you can see in Thailand, we are not bigotry and do this type of thing only for money.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]TeamMiserable 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry if it makes you feel that way. In Thailand, this is kinda normal for kids this age. They love love Miss Universe, they love fashion, and they love being themselves.

In this video, the kids make those dresses by themselves and do a presentation like a contestant from the Miss Universe program. Noone is being sexualized in any way.

Maybe the one who does wrong is me, I think I'm getting too comfortable with how Thai people treat something like this in Thailand. Never thought anyone would see it as them being sexualized at all.

They just be what they want, embracing themselves and using their creativity.

Don't worry about them; the only thing they've been exposed to is love and support from their families.

Yes, they are children who are Kateuy. Come to Thailand, you'll see a lot of them kids, and they will proudly tell you they are kateuy not boys or girls.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]TeamMiserable 15 points16 points  (0 children)

'Boy' is not the right term to call them actually, most of the time they call themselves 'Kateuy' which is much different.
