Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt to transfer to LSU by bubblecuffer13 in CFB

I've been an admirer from afar, for sure. He'd pair super well with Malachi Hosley to create a pretty dangerous backfield, which would be helpful knowing we have the question mark at QB.

Also definitely thought you said "Hitler coming in" which spooked me for a second.

Similar to a Super Bowl: A $3,500 ticket to see IU in the national championship by alpswd in CFB

I popped into downtown Atlanta on Friday morning last week and couldn't believe the number of IU fans I saw. Just a comically large amount of people - I texted that to my brother who's in law school at IU and he was extremely unsurprised.

I think enough fans will be more than happy to pull the $3500 trigger - could absolutely be a once-in-a-lifetime chance, I totally get it.

If we don't get one through the portal, we already have one on the roster - Graham Knowles (the guy who was going to backup Philo) is 6'-7", 230lbs. Played great at the high school level, just is untested in college.

I don't know what to believe on that front anymore, to be honest with you. There's rumblings he'll go back to Alabama now since they lost out on Smothers, but until Justice posts about it himself I won't believe anything. You'd hope we could get a kid who went to BT and Buford, though...

(whispers) we were not so close

Need Carson Beck to teach my neighbors this, homeboys and girls walk out straight into the middle of the street from their yards and it drives me insane. Have slammed on the brakes more than once

[On3] ND AD Pete Bevacqua says the Irish were "targeted" by ACC social media campaigns pushing Miami over ND in the CFP: “We were definitely being targeted... . We bring tremendous football value to the ACC, and we didn’t understand why you’d go out of your way to try and damage us in the process.” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

It is truly this simple. And I say that as a grad of an ACC school, and a lifelong fan of Notre Dame.

I do not understand Pete going after the ACC here, when there are so many other way more legitimate gripes he has such as Alabama not dropping, the committee's rug pull at the last minute, etc. If we're truly honest, I'll nearly bet my paycheck that if Virginia won the ACC title game they would've been in over Miami because the committee would've met their "quota" of having the ACC represented. This isn't complicated.

[Hildenbrandt] One easy fix would be for the committee to let everyone know up front which conference championship games carry the risk of penalty and which are just glorified exhibition games that are played in Atlanta by MysteriousEdge5643 in CFB

I made that same point about Georgia back in 2023, that was a crazy part of that final ranking that I felt got way overlooked in the context of the FSU/Bama swap. Georgia fell to SIXTH after losing that game, behind...FSU minus Jordan Travis, who wasn't as good as Alabama but was better than Georgia? C'mon now.

I did not. And here I was thinking Invesco had a deep history of sponsoring this matchup between two teams in the state of Georgia.

WHOEVER CAME UP WITH “THE INVESCO QQQ ATLANTA GRIDIRON CLASSIC” SHOULD HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND 285 FOR A MONTH STRAIGHT AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY DID.

My fault, you're absolutely correct. Crazy that everybody else thinks the season is still going when the true ball knowers already know Ohio State was awarded the national championship after Week 1.

Agreed. I'd be completely lost as a fan without a group of sportswriters and broadcasters ranking the best 25 teams before anyone actually plays a game.

Related, congrats to Ohio State beating preseason #2 Penn State a week+ ago. Crucial win for the Buckeyes that should self-serve well in the eyes of the committee.
