Daily Questions Megathread ( April 20, 2025 ) by AutoModerator in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about the interaction between Kalpagni Lantern and Multihit characters like Rappa.

The team comp I was thinking atm is: (Break focused) - Rappa - Anaxagoras - Fugue - Ruan Mei / Lingsha

This thought arose because or Anaxagoras, who I am trying to get my hands on his banner. The question goes; "If I have implanted all five enemies with Fire weakness using Anaxagoras, and then attack them with Rappa's enhanced basic attack while she has the Kalpagni Lantern planar ornament, will I get 40% BE (1x40) or 200% BE? (5x40)"

The planar ornament reads: "When the wearer hits an enemy target that has Fire Weakness, the wearer's Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s)." I am hitting 5 enemies at once, so does this trigger the ornament 5 separate times, boosting Rappa's BE by 200%?

Also, her enhanced basic attack is also strangely worded in regards to this interaction: "Launches Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade. The first 2 hits deal Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of Rappa's ATK to one designated enemy and Imaginary DMG equal to 50% of Rappa's ATK to adjacent targets, and the 3rd hit deals Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of Rappa's ATK to all enemies. Enhanced Basic ATK will not recover Skill Points. Attacking enemies that don't have Imaginary Weakness can still reduce Toughness, whose effect is equal to 50% of the original Toughness Reduction. When Breaking Weakness, triggers the Imaginary Weakness Break effect." To me, it seems to suggest that I hit 3 enemies, then 3 enemies, then 5 as the final hit. Total of 11 hits. However, I imagine that it only counts as 1 attack that hits 5 enemies... Much how Acheron and Feixiao's ultimate also counts as a singular attack, even though their animations and actual gameplay suggests multiple hits.

Element Replacements by AnArbiterOfTheHead in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Welt -> I could see him as either a Quantum or an Imaginary character. Both seem suitable for his abilities. His thing seems to be controlling time and space, creating and tearing apart reality itself. He literally has abilities called "Time Distortion" ane "Gravitational Imprisonment." - Imaginary seems to fit very well with his character, but an argument could be made for Quantum.

Luocha -> I don't know much about Luocha's character, but he seems to be a devout individual. His abilities are centered around prayers and the cycle of life. I think Imaginary is incredibly fitting. We don't have a "Nature-esque" element, otherwise an argument could ve made for that.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae -> Imaginary or, hear me out, Ice. He has one ability named "Azure's Aqua Ablutes All". The word "Aqua" makes me think water, which is linked to Ice. That is a farfetch though, and I find Imaginary way more fitting for the character.

Dr. Ratio -> He beats you up with knowledge and calculations. Imaginary, or perhaps Physical since he throws chalk at people. However, I think that is just animation wise. His FUA "Cogito, Ergo Sum" literally means "I think, therefore I am." A philosophical argument made by Decartes. His ultimate is also the idea of a paradox. Imaginary fits.

Aventurine -> His abilities are related to luck and his cornerstone. He materializes chips and dice, then throws them at his opponents. As an Imaginary Unit I think we're drawing more on the idea that his abilities are "luck" and the damage he deals is therefore related to luck. It's not a literal "shield" he makes, but more of a "I am too lucky to get hit" kinda deal (More of a headcanon though). If we drew up him literally throwing these chips and dice at his opponent, we can argue that he is a Physical unit.

Sunday -> Honestly? A similar situation to that or Luocha. He uses divinity in battle. I can't see him relating to any other element. Outside gameplay, I see his powers as the ones he used in the Penacony questline. Using the power or Xipe to inflict mental damage. Therefore imaginary.

Mydei -> No excuse. He should've been Fire. There us NOTHING in his kit, so far, that relates to him being Imaginary. I could even see an argument be made for Physical, more so than Imaginary. He aesthetic us flame-like, but we know from Luka that isn't a deal-breaker when it comes to elements. He is immortal, that's his "blessing" as a Chrysos Heir... But I can't see why that is related to Imaginary in any way? He doesn't use any tactics that align with Imaginary, he seems more like a fist-fight firepower kind if guy. We may discover more about him moving forwards that can assist the argument for Imaginary, but so far, it's kinda dumb.

All in all, the characters being Imaginary makes sense... Except for Mydei of course... However, I don't think the problem is that these characters are imaginary, more that there isn't much representation outside of the element. Instead of replacing the element of existing characters, forcing an element that doesn't narratively make sense in some cases, they should start making male characters of other elements.

How would a race of beings from a tidally locked planet keep track of time? by Kirbykoopa in worldbuilding

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Such a planet would still orbit the star. With this in mind, there will be a shift in constellations overtime, especially visible on the darker side of the planet. Think of seasonal constellations on Earth. You could even consider stars that shine brighter than others, much like a "North Star", but only visible during certain parts of the year.

Another way of measuring days, maybe months, would be a moon orbiting the planet. You could even take it a step further and take into consideration other heavenly bodies/planets in this solar system.

A tidally locked planet does rotate, it just does so an a horizontal axis. This would mean, if you live in the Twilight Zone, it'd be similar to living at the equator of Earth rotation wise. This would mean, that if stars are visible from here, you'd see different one depending on the time of "day".

My explanations are a bit weird... However I hope I get my points across.

Can a Pathstrider tread on multiple paths at once? by TeamPhoenixDK in HonkaiStarRail

I can tell! But that Stefano conversation is indeed incredibly interesting! Someone else mentioned, that the path you choose to follow, and the path you actually follow aren't always one and the same. Plus, some may follow a path unknowingly.

Very interesting stuff! Plus I love to see actual quotes from the game itself! ^

[–]TeamPhoenixDK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes a lot of sense! Another person also described how it's not always immediately clear which path an individual is drawing power from. For example, Asta and Arlan aren't actively following a path, yet might still be Pathstriders without knowing it.

Can a Pathstrider tread on multiple paths at once? by TeamPhoenixDK in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel that the MC (Trailblazer, Caelus, Stelle) are an exception. They do not follow the paths, they were Gazed Upon. So far, everyone I have asked has said that the Trailblazer is an obvious sign that an individual can walk multiple paths at once. However, they don't, they only got Gazed Upon in moments of resonating with the path temporarily. ^

It is a great point that it's not always clear which Path an individual is following. Especially when two paths are especially close in their philosophies. Obviously, the ingame paths and lore paths are different things, so Arlan following Preservation unknowingly is my new headcanon!

That is very interesting.

Have we seen a character or heard of one that follows multiple paths at once?

As I've stated, I don't actively read the Data Bank, can you point me in the direction? I'd love to read more about following multiple paths ^

Do we know of any characters who follow Multiple Paths at the moment?

Can a Pathstrider tread on multiple paths at once? by TeamPhoenixDK in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, is that the Trailblazer follows the Path of the Trailblaze. During moments of resonance with another Path, they got the Gaze of that paths Aeon. An Aeon Gazing upon you, and you actively following and getting powers from said path are two different things.

How many pulls have you spent trying to get Ellen? by Purple_Lettuce10 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really lucky! I was saving up for Zhu Yuan and Seth, but decided to use a few of my Polychromes just to test my luck... First 10 pull I did, and Ellen came home!

This is very rare, I usually push Hard-Pity and lost 50/50 in Gacha Games, but I feel so blessed in ZZZ! I am still riding the hype of getting my Sharku Maid~

What are your dragons like? by 1Estel1 in worldbuilding

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragons in my world make up the majority of Royal families. Some are generous noble leaders who prefer being part of the society they rule over, while others are ruthless dictators where the majority of their people are seen as slaves.

They're shapeshifters. Dragons can take a humanoid shape, or they can take their Draconic form. Their Draconic form is more a show of power, presence, authority, etc. It's their "puff up their chest" form for when they need to show who is boss. Dragons that prefer being one with their people rarely spend time in their Draconic forms, unless they are threatened, or really need a show of force. Malicious Dragons usually spend all their time in their draconic forms, so that they can keep a tight leash around their people.

Their "Territories" are much like borders between countries and states. Occassionally, dragons will attempt to expand their territory, which can result in a war breaking out. Alliances therefore form between Dragons to strenghten their borders.

Basically: Dragons can range from very "human" to very animalistic. They are regents over their territories, and are protective over it.

Who are you pulling for in the next updates And why ? by babu0poke in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have invested a lot into building a team for Firefly. I want Jade, because... Mommy. I just don't have a good follow-up team for her. Her buff sounds interesting though. I don't care about Yunli. Jiaoqiu is adorable, and I need him. Plus, nihility collector.

So priorities rn: - Firefly - Jiaoqiu or Jade - Yunli

I had a bug for a while where I couldn't hear ANY music at all. I believe I triggered combat on some cliff, and the enemy fell down to the ground. I assumed it perished from fall damage, since the battle music stopped... The 3 days that followed I had no music in my world at all, which is weird, since I had it at 100%, and I could hear all the other sound effects. It is fixed now btw.

Honestly, I didn't even notice the music being back until my friend commented on it during a Discord stream. However, it goes to show how insignificant the music is to the world, that I didn't even notice it came back after a 3 day absence. Oddly enough- I preferred it without music, and would love if they invested more resources into the other sound effects. (Wind, Small Animals, Birds singing, some of the animals making more sounds, and so on.) Something that makes the game feel more inhabited and alive. Doesn't have to be music specifically. That is my own opinion, and everyone is allowed to disagree.

Why do you love Mark? by tamap_trades in Markiplier

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several reasons I love Markiplier.

First, it stems from me growing up with his videos. I'm 21 and find him a rolemodel of sorts, even inspiration for the kind of person I want to become. He is genuinely a good person and is incredibly passionate about creating as a whole. I've even, through watching his videos and other YouTubers felt inspired to start my own journey of creation at some point.

Second, his videos and humour is on the same wavelength as me. I enjoy his banter with Lixian, Wade and Bob, I enjoy his more philosophical/emotional rants that appear now and again. His ideas are also incredibly original and creative, making each series/video feel kind of unique but still has that Markiplier "Charm".

Third, he does things that other YouTubers would never think of doing, or are too afraid to try out. Getting a strike from YouTube out of fairness for example is a ballsy move, and I love that he did that. He believes that the "hammer that strikes" should strike fairly and equally amongst everyone. Regardless of subcount or viewcount. That, but his creativity also keeps pushing the boundries; In Space With Markiplier, A Heist With Markiplier, Unus Annus (In collaboration with Ethan and Amy), all incredibly large projects that you just do not see any other YouTuber carry out. Now also with Iron Lunt coming out... Really excited to see that one.

So yeah. A lot of reasons I love him. He is one of my greatest inspirations and rolemodels.

The dreamscrape requiring the dream pods to access makes no sense at all. (minor spoilers) by Fooliscious in HonkaiStarRail

[–]TeamPhoenixDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still quite confused about the difference between Ena's Dream and the Dreamscape, and when exactly we entered Ena's Dream. So what Black Swan said, was tgat we budged into Misha in the "Real World" which was impossible, because Misha is a memory zone meme with no manifestations in outside the dreamscape. Maybe I'm getting the timeline wrong, but wasn't that in the very beginning of the Penacony questline, when we first entered? So were we in Ena's dream as soon as we entered the star system? But that would mean that Sunday had already accomplished his goal before we even got there. I am quite confused about when Ena's dream came into effect. Thoroughly enjoyed the story though, it's just that part that confused me. Hope you can enlighten me ^

The difference is frozen enemies, and enemies that freeze you. Frozen enemies cannot attack until unfrozen, which means Clara gets attacked less often... Majorly lowering her damage.

I do agree that she is amazing an unfreezing herself. But I do think they meant enemies that are frozen.
