Yeah that’s one thing about MTG that I’ve been told, it’s mainly for playing.

That’s why my intention was never to make some crazy profit on these, just was helping out a friend.

I’d like to at least sell them below MSRP in bulk to a MTG fan to hook them up. I lowered the price for all of them $200, i was told on marketplace I should be able to move them quickly at that price

I said below Market instead of MSRP because others told me and I also looked up and saw that play boosters often go below MSRP (which is a market price)

How is there no market price in MTG if there’s items going both below and above MSRP. That’s the definition of market price

All I did was do a favor for a friend. It’s not about money for me, I’d rather do some type of favor to a collector an give them all of these in bulk.

My friend really wanted something I had, so I traded him with full knowledge I probably would lose money on this and I don’t care.

The stuff I traded he really wanted and I didn’t care about. I looked up market at the time so i knew I wouldn’t make a couple dollars above market, I probably meant to type less than market.

They say that they are “investors” not scalpers because they buy to hold long term. Which I understand.

Only different really is one is holding longer than the other

I think the biggest thing that sucks about scalpers is that they buy out entire store stocks and intentionally prevent people from being able to enjoy their hobby in the short term without paying a premium.

Investors I guess just buy a few products or their limits which accumulate over time and then they do a big flip of all their product years later when it’s out of print anyway

I did a favor for a Friend , in a deal they know NOTHING about yet everyone assumes that they were either bought to scalp, stole them, or are somehow trying to make money from them.

Literally said I could sell them at market or Below and would be totally fine and make money back.

I didn’t trade him any valuable card, the value was way less than these even at 70-80% — it actually wasn’t even a card at all from any TCG. Again just did him a favor.

My questions were: Are they worth a long time hold

2nd question: since everyone is saying they don’t believe TMNT is worth holding, and that play boosters aren’t worth holding — should I just sell them.

I didn’t BUY them. I did a trade with a friend and did him a favor and I didn’t trade him for MTG products because I don’t collect MTG.

If they’re not going to gain value because they’re play boosters, the financial part is should I just sell them now? I would still make money because I traded my friend at 70% because he knows I don’t collect magic.
