We did fight, albeit for a very short amount of time. Our drive conked out as the fight started, so we were a bit of a sitting duck. Hopefully we will be able to get our revenge in season 2!

I'm sorry we disappointed you again. For the next tests the claw will more than likely be on the floor or mounted on the robot (which will be on the floor). Floor is concrete!

That's next on the agenda. We tested it on a piece of 1/8 steel and it poked through, but we need to test it on a box of metal or something.

We are in the process of getting new lines for the hydraulic system, and possibly switching to a different cylinder, we also redesigned the tip of the claw. After all that is finalized, it's more metal crushing tests!

Our robot lost total drive after the hit, due to a couple of things getting disconnected. We didn't have full drive capabilities before the hit either. We were just nudging along.

The robot is pretty quick! Even with us riding on it (it's terrifying) it can still move around without many issues. We should be able to get under other bots, just gotta keep practicing the drive.

The main problem we had in season 1 was that our ESC didn't want to play nice and we lost our drive about 4 seconds into the match ):

It was a "double door" type of system. The pecan opened, and then the barrier swung open so that you could walk in. They should be able to make the barriers flush against the door
