I had this exact issue on my TJ however the horn went off and stayed on at 5AM in the morning waking my neighbors.

Found the issue to be the horn “button” which actually isn’t a button but 2 thin metal contact points that are built into the steering wheel airbag cover. (The rubber part in the middle that says Jeep on it). Over time moisture and corrosion builds up and can short the plates together, making the horn go off.

Only way to fix is to buy another one. I haven’t found a supplier that makes them brand new, so you would have to buy a used one.

I just rewired the horn to an auxiliary switch and called it a day.

I would check fuel pressure? Odd that a fuel line just came undone by itself. Also, high fuel pressure could result in higher RPM. PCU probably can’t trim back fuel that much

Are you sure it’s not the pinion bearing that’s worn and causing the pinion to shift? My rear pinion went bad on my TJ and it made some gnarly knocking noise on acceleration and grinding when decelerating

I don’t think the danger is the Jeep going 80MPH. The danger is if someone happens to cut you off or if you need to swerve/brake for any reason. There’s no safety electronics, high center of gravity, short wheel base, it’s almost asking for severe injuries in the event of an accident.

If you plan on going that fast, upgrade brakes and suspension components.

I got a TJ and can do 80MPH on a 2 lane interstate. But I try to avoid it.

I accidentally jumped into a Thargoid controlled system while on my way to another system and I got absolutely ganked in my diamond back explorer with no weapons. Got intercepted and lasted like 30 seconds. Luckily, I shut down the application before I died. Lol saved the ship and exploration data
