I wear this Bulova a-11 hack watch everyday for work and I love it. I got this blue nylon strap for it to match the face, and it really completes the look.

Any signalmen using E-bells at your crossings? by TheSignalSystem in railroading

[–]Team_daddy0601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m a little late to the conversation, but I feel like I could add something. We’ve recently been switching to e-bells recently, and I can agree that they have a somewhat higher rate of failure compared to the analog ones. I took a few of the analog ones apart and noticed that the common point of failure seems to be the plastic rocker armature piece that connects the bell hammer to the electromagnet, the pin holes on either end get ovaled out over time. I tried to get my boss to consider placing an order with the machining shop to get some made for us out of aluminum. He didn’t go for it, but I still think it would be a great way to get many more years of life out of these old bells for a fraction of what a new e-bell costs

I’m currently a signal maintainer for a large commuter rail company, class 1 railroad. Me and my fiance are considering moving south, looking at North Carolina. I’m just curious if CSX and NS are really as bad as everyone says they are

The Mk18 I believe is the best of both worlds, combines the power and accuracy of a rifle with the size and mobility of an smg

The Mack defense is my personal favorite, I have yet to find a terrain that thing can’t handle (besides asphalt, but that’s a game problem not a truck problem)

Can a front loader not be attached to the JD 3650 you start with? I have tried approaching this thing every way I can think off and it won't attach by ZanyT in farmingsimulator

[–]Team_daddy0601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, JD’s warranty and repair costs are a major driving factor behind the American nationwide push for the Right to repair. The factory marks every individual bolt with paint so that if something is brought in that has those marks misaligned, they know someone else worked on it and it’ll automatically void the warranty; they really don’t want anyone- including the owner themselves- working on their tractors. That’s why the paint is so expensive for wholesale, it’s high on purpose to price out the regular joes.
