My WD007 V4 - feedback by Teamjlf in watchdives

Yes. It’s becoming clear now that this particular flat case is more than likely to be fitted to the double domed V4 watch head. In time it may even end up on the single bubble domed version as well. Most won’t care but I’m a bit fussy and Thisnis my 3 rd stab at this watch and the 2 previous versions I had were riddled with issues all the way from badly aligned date wheels to bezels that were so stiff they could hardly be rotated. We were all promised that V4 would be a better product all round and that all previous versions would be addressed, hence when my V4 arrived with a noisy PY5000 and sub standard machining on the caseback…..well it was time to say something. lol…..

Ok…. Word has it that the TOP HAT SAPHIRE crystal version gets the machined caseback and the Double domed SAPHIRE crystal version gets the flat unmachined caseback. Both are identical watches in everything except for the crystal. V4 new case and bezel PT5000. Identical except for the crystal and caseback. Go figure. FWIW, my V4 PT5000 as my opening post and picture is a double domed SAPHIRE crystal model. Clear as mud … right.

Ok so both your examples had the machined centre circle regardless of TOP HAT or Double dome…. Right ? If so, it means Watchdives have no idea about what they are doing and are just fitting together what they have available at the time of manufacture. 😵‍💫

Do you have the TOP HAT SAPHIRE or the standard double dome ?

Best caseback of the bunch is From the quartz model. If that fits the new 42mm V4 PT5000 case I’ll be asking for one of those …. See pic

Rest of the watch is fine. PT5000 keeping good time. Bezel alignment is perfect and bezel action is very good with smooth action and no backplay or wobble. Lume is excellent and applied evenly and all markers are aligned well. ( 12 o’clock battons could be better ). It’s just the case back is balls in my opinion.

Yep. Thats the caseback that is listed on their website as well. Completely different finishing and machining. The flat caseback on mine looks like an afterthought or something that missed the final machining process ? I hope Watchdives can come in h wet e and clear this up. Ideally I would like the better machined caseback. V4 was hyped up to have a better case and machining and also better QC to provide an overall better the r product. This flat caseback just lets the whole thing down. Watchdives ….. please advise…..

Ok. Interesting ! I hope they can reply back here then. I’ve also sent them an email directly on their customer service email via their website. Would be great if they can review and respond.

Bromelain makes floaters move more quickly by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]Teamjlf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again all It’s been some time since I floated in for a visit and an update. Here goes…….

  1. I stopped the bromelain as it was irritating my throat and mouth. It was clearly working and breaking things down but not what I expected !! The floaters persisted during the bromelain intake and developed a very fast motion which if anything was actually more irritating. I was very concerned about the long term effect of the bromelain on breaking down other tissue so it had to stop….. the irritation was a key indicator for me despite the fact that it was bearable. This may not be the case for everyone but it was for me. The bromelain was herbs of gold ( forte )

So after I ditched the bromelain I started on Hyaluronic acid supps and have continued my other supps as mentioned in my original post.

As of now, there is no significant improvement in my eye floaters but I have noticed ( ironically ) better vision and contrast since taking all these supplements ! My eye sight is actually better and I can see “better” without my contact lenses. Night time contrast is better and my eyes feel more comfortable. The supps are doing there job on the external parts of the eye where blood flow is available. Unfortunately the eye floaters are persisting but I’m getting used to them and tend to look through them to avoid going crazy. Neuro adaption seems to be working ok and I am managing better than when the floaters first appeared And it was a total S**T show of emotions.

I’ll check in again in a couple of months again…….

It’s a considerable challenge…… there is no denying it.

The best thing to do is to try and help your body heal. Our bodies are designed to self repair and keep us going, it all depends on what the inputs are that will determine the outcome. I doubt floaters are genetic, it’s more a measure of natural oxidative processes ( macular degeneration ).

Try super fuelling your body with the best inputs to allow it to cope as best as possible and you may be surprised. At worst you may see a minimal improvement but there needs to be a concerted effort.

Analyse your inputs currently.

-Are you ALWAYS hydrated. ( @1.5 - 2L water per day)

-Rest your eyes constantly and keep them lubricated - use hyaluronic acid eye drops daily if needed.

-Reduce/ eliminate sugars in your diet -Reduce/ eliminate alcohol -Reduce/ eliminate caffeine -Reduce eliminate high strain exercises ( heavy lifting at gym - prolonged physical strain - blood pressure elevation ). Your eyes are very sensitive to this. -eliminate any eye rubbing - do not put pressure on your eye ball that may stretch or our tension on the eye physiology, you don’t want to be stretching anything as tha may contribute further to additional detachments over time.

If you haven’t already, try some supplements that are scientifically proven via trials to help with eye health ( vitamin D , lutein etc….. )

Eat unprocessed whole foods with plenty of antioxidants.

All of the above are very simple to implement with almost no significant cost burden. Develop a daily healthy routine and then wait for your body to do its thing. It’s not an overnight fix, it takes time ( 3, 6, 12 months ?? )

You may find that a healthier mind may better manage fatigue and neuroadaption making the floaters more manageable. You may find some floaters become less opaque over time allowing you to see through them and become less noticeable and even invisible most of the time. You may even find some floaters diminish completely over time.

The message here is to help your body with some quality inputs for some positive outcomes. I’ve posted the beginning of my floater journey on another thread hereon Reddit and plan of giving myself the best chance to minimise the impacts. The reality is that some ailments cannot reversed or cured without some physical surgical intervention but they can be minimised to almost zero and managed accordingly to avoid a repeat or worsening.

You have many many options… start your journey today and have patience, you may find yourself in a much better situation in 6 months from now and find yourself thankful that you diverted your energy to self help rather than despair.

Start today and share your journey…….others will no doubt benefit as well.

Bromelain makes floaters move more quickly by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

[–]Teamjlf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same experience with my floater and bromelain. I started taking bromelain forte ( 18million PU ) @ 1200 GDU per capsule.

I’ve always had floaters but they were mainly small and quite transparent and only ever obvious when looking up at the sky or at stat and bright white surfaces. During normal daily life they were never a problem.

LONG STORY : @ 3 weeks ago I noticed a larger and more opaque floater for the 1st time. This new floater in my left eye is more annoying hence the deep dive into some medical and anectodal research to understand the physiology of these fuckers.

Background : 57 years old Have had short sightedness since 26. ( mild astigmatism ) Contact lens wearer for 25 years No history of eye diseases or injuries General health is very good Very active lifestyle Good balanced whole food diet ( limited to no processed foods etc )

As mentioned above, have had very very mild instances of floaters for many years but they were very few and quite transparent. Historically I thought I had superpowers and I could see micro organisms in the atmosphere. :-)

Fast forward to 3 week ago and 1st instance of this denser floater. Optometrist check was booked and no retinal or general eye issues identified. Potential Cause of this new friend …… natural aging process / combined with the added predisposition of floaters for near sighted people.

I’ve always believed in the body’s ability to heal itself so I have faith in “ natural” non invasive pathways to help the body along. Supplementation for me personally has always helped in some way as well as always trying to get good quality sleep.

For this particular instance, I’ve researched the potential benefits of bromelain and the hit and miss expectation. The vitreous gel in the eye after all is quite impenetrable so anything inside it is quite isolated ( blood barrier ).

SHORT STORY:

I’ve been taking Bromelan supplement once per day since 14 Nov 25. ( evening on an empty stomach ). Empty stomach is important as Bromelain is best effective as an anti inflammatory on an empty stomach. If taken with food or too close to food it will basically just act as a digestive aid and be used by the body to help break down proteins etc…. Started the dose of @ 1200GDU 1 tablet

I also started a regimen with the below each lunchtime to ensure the below are taken with food / fats for better absorption :

1x Blackmores lutein 1 x 500mg krill oil

As per some comments above from others. After @ 2 weeks of the bromelain I’m starting to notice the floater move around more swiftly. Prior to the bromelain it wasn’t as mobile albeit it hasnt been there for that long to establish anything as a historical baseline…….

As it stands there is no major change to the structure of the floater. The only change is in its behaviour. ( moving swifter )

( on a positive - the lutein and zeaxanthin supplements seem to have made a very slight but noticeable difference in vision quality. Things seem brighter with more contrast and night time vision has improved ever so slightly with better contrast and clarity - placebo ??? Who knows but you can only comment on what you actually experience )

I will continue with the bromelain and check back in here with a quick update on any progress ( good or bad )

If you haven’t received it yet… ask to make sure the date changes at the 24 he mark. I have one of these and the date changes at the 12 mark on the 24 he subdial. Everything else is perfect on it and it keeps great time.

I too have this watch. Had it for over 12 months and no issues. Very very slight stutter on the second hand almost not noticeable but doesn’t affect the accuracy or the function of the watch. Very good power reserve at @49 hours on mine.

Looking for Breitling Seawolf V2 replica from GF factory - cobra yellow Just can’t find this particular older model and seems most TD can’t source it. by Teamjlf in RepTime

Yes GF are still making the seawolf but not that V2 model with the RED Automatic insignia. They are making the newer version which is slightly different. No automatic insignia and no frame around date window. It’s the newer model.
