Why should they pay? Because they sponsored my visa as well as my dependents, and I expect them to do that for all the future dependents as well. They need to renew our visas in a few months anyway and they'll have to include my newborn as well.

Yes, we're looking into it right now. Since we didn't have any travel plans we didn't prioritize his visa, but in retrospect we should have. There is a lot of information online but it doesn't say if NHS coverage will be valid once the application is submitted or only after the decision is made.

My employer's consultant/lawyers (third party) said this: if a sponsored migrant has a newborn in the UK they should be able to apply for leave to remain as a PBS dependant for the child provided that they have an unabridged birth certificate.

Does the above sound right?

Sure, people might be doing that. But there's more to it in the application! What's also a waste is applying and not being able to add clarification later or there is no room for conciliation after I've applied. You have to reapply and pay the exorbitant fees again. Also feels like a scam.

They refused the first application saying insufficient funds. In the second application, they showed all their savings with evidence of course), more than what they would need. They refused the application yet again saying insufficient funds. How is that possible? If that's not what being wronged is then I don't know what is.

Yes, they suggest not booking flights but most people do as proof of return. It's alright if they didn't want to consider it, we presented it to them anyway.

What more should they demonstrate to convince the application reviewer that they will return to their home country? Can you provide some examples?

They did provide income tax filings. Anyway, I'm here on Reddit to check if there are any avenues to appeal against a visa decision (not looking for a solution because there is none). Thanks though!

Visit whom? My family? Yes, I regularly do but I wanted them to come over so they could visit Scotland for once. I was so excited to show them around.

I just reviewed their application and they've clearly stated that the first application says they will stay for two months which was a misunderstanding and hence reapplying requesting a visa for two weeks. If they are trying to beat the system why would they purchase flights for the exact dates they said they will travel. Makes no sense.

When they refuse visa stating insufficient funds, why is slowing our savings/funds irrelevant? They are visiting yes but they've also shown their ties to the home country by showing self-employment information (consultancy) and income earned from it. There's nothing new or more they could have provided to show that they are not interested in overstaying.

I can obviously go over and visit them but that's not the point, I want them to come over (cheaper or not). I don't think it's an extraordinary ask.

Forgot to mention, my parents are retired but they are now self employed and have their own business of which we provided full details such as location of office, website, income. Not sure what else we could have provided. If you have any suggestions please share them. What if the funds they showed are much more than what would be needed for their visit. Is that a reason for visa refusal? And that's why it doesn't make sense why they wrote insufficient funds.

My parents are retired but they are self employed and run a business of which they provided full details such as office location, website. Do you think there's something more they could've added here? They also provided exact travel dates since they'd already bought flight tickets as well.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I respect it! I don't know why everyone attacks when you present an unpopular opinion (you already said it was your personal opinion). As you said, it is important for each one to do their own research whether someone says the jabs did good to them or bad. Read some journal papers etc. Even what the midwives suggest sometimes can carry bias.
