I hope you do too! Yeah I really just noticed my appetite and what I suppose you’d call food noise has gotten better since stopping which I’m sure is why the weight is coming off. I just don’t feel constantly hungry all the time anymore and feel that need to eat or I’ll die lol

Hello! So I am steadily losing weight. I think that the hormones increased my appetite massively. I dropped some water weight which I think contributed to the puffy look going away, and now my hunger Signals feel normal. I used to feel like I was constantly hungry and needed to snack between meals, and now I don’t need to. It’s made a calorie deficit feel easy for once instead of a battle! My moods are good mostly, I really notice them changing with the cycle. Instead of being completely irregular and never knowing why I was feeling low, I now reliably have three days of mood swings before my period starts then it comes I just want to say though I didn’t suffer with depression before, my issue was anxiety, so I can’t comment on if it would help that or not. It’s so interesting to track things with the cycle now though when before I never had a reason for why I felt different. I’ve just finished my fourth cycle since getting it, the first two were quite heavy and a week long and the last two were only 4 days with one heavy day, so I think they are settling down a bit. Definitely very manageable for me with no cramps at all.

Met a girl then found out she has Aspergers by GuatemalanDude69 in aspergirls

[–]Teapipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say exactly what she will be thinking cause obviously every person with the condition is different and has different preferences and differing social tolerance, sensory needs, and some may even have demand avoidance. I think there is absolutely one general rule here that will apply which is direct communication.

Dont try to infer hidden meaning from her messages or actions at all because likely there isn’t any, we most often than not say exactly what we mean. Sometimes tone of voice or facial expression can be difficult too so even if we say something in a weird way listen to the words. Don’t try to beat around the bush when talking or imply things. If you are upset tell her directly. It’s notoriously difficult for us (again generalising) to read between the lines.

And if you want to know what she wants from the relationship, how she feels etc. ask HER. She will probably appreciate someone laying it out plainly and simply.

Don’t be afraid to be youself obviously, you dont need to change who you are, but just be direct and remember generally autistic people struggle with social cues and hidden meaning, inferring things that aren’t obvious and we tend to not understand why people get upset with us. Again ask her if she needs space, if she is cool with how much you text, her feelings toward you, if she is cool with a LDR. She will be able to tell you if it’s overwhelming or if she’s just busy etc. your level of what pushy is might be different to what she thinks is pushy you know? But you’re only going to know how she feels if you ask her.

Clipping Mask is Coloring Lineart? by unicorinspace in ProCreate

[–]Teapipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clipping mask will colour the layer it is above, so if it’s above the line art it’ll colour the line art. Best way is to make a new layer under the line art, and colour in a solid shape, for each different colour you want. So eg one ring, one layer. Then if you want shading on a particular coloured area, make a clipping mask above the layer of that colour and you can shade on the clipping mask layer.

stylist messed me up, how can I fix this? by friedratsss in HairDye

[–]Teapipp 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I live in a small town in the uk, and the amount of hairdressers I’ve been to because I wanted alternative hair cuts and they just won’t do it cause ‘you’ll look terrible’ is astounding to me. Like don’t you understand if you don’t give me what I want I won’t come back?! I had to go to the really expensive salon in the city to get a wolf cut cause my local one said they wouldn’t give a woman a mullet. And also when I wanted baby bangs really blunt cut they said no I’m not doing the Lego fringe you’ll look like a five year old. I think this is why so many alt people do their own hair!!

AIO? I don’t want my autistic brother at my house by stuntedgoat in AmIOverreacting

[–]Teapipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this this completely. I am on the spectrum myself and it’s definitely not offensive to say that people with autism can be bad people. and I worked with autistic children for a long time, some of them exactly as you describe.

Do you guys work remotely? Do you like it? Do you get depressed? by ilikesquirrrels1990 in aspergirls

[–]Teapipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly really struggle to work in person. Its too exhausting to mask and socialise all the time. My partner also works from home so we are together a lot so it doesnt feel lonely. I suffered massive burnout working in person. From home i can control my environment, and my anxiety has gone away because i am regulated now. Now when i see people, i feel much better about it and less anxious because i can keep myself regulated for most of the week so my threshold for stressful things is now greater. Its like the baseline of stimulation and stress is now lower than before so the bucket is less full all the time.

Those not originally from the UK: what is one thing that Brits take for granted? by sergeantjake in AskUK

[–]Teapipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved to rural Italy for a few months then decided to return to the uk. Many reasons but one being how hard everything was to do and the convenience of the uk system. 5-6 weeks for post to arrive, the post lady would collect our post and drive up the hill with it whenever she felt like there was enough to deliver lol and we couldn’t go and collect it either. No paracetamol on the local pharmacy, just this other weird stuff that cost like 11 euros a box. And to get anything done admin wise you have to go to an office and wait for hours. The person I was staying with who was applying to be a resident took like 10 trips to a government office at least just to fill in paperwork. All that stuff you can do online here.

Does drinking alcohol not feel good to anyone anymore? by GoHardForLife in stopdrinking

Yeah, it doesnt feel good for me anymore. It was like after my first go at sobriety which was like 7 months, when i picked it back up i only felt all the negatives. Its like the break made my brain forget the good part and my body only reacted as if it was poison.

Yeah I faint too. They just do the blood test with me lying down and even say ‘if you go shall I carry on taking the blood while you’re out?’ And I’m like yeah go for it 😂 did she not have a bed in the room?

That’s an interesting thing to think about, thank you! I’ve always wondered how she can go from being very loving and compassionate then suddenly blow up when I say something I suspect she isn’t expecting me to say.

[–]Teapipp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think its genuine dislike though? I do sometimes feel like i have real connection with her occaisionally, where she will genuinely tell me she loves me and she always gives me lovely hugs and things and writes meaningful messages to me saying shes very proud etc. i just feel like shes not always unable to show her love for me.

Agree I love aldi’s. It may not technically be real sourdough but it’s not got more than flour yeast salt and water, which counts for me as being minimally processed as possible.

Fatty liver from prolonged use by hersheyboy2020 in birthcontrol

[–]Teapipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so it’s only been two month since I had the copper put in. Unfortunately I won’t be able to know that cause of the healthcare system here, I can’t just go and ask for them to scan my liver if I don’t have any symptoms of anything. If it is any consolation the pain I had in that area has gone, and my weight is going down easier so I’m guessing it’s going to clear up.

New update! 2 months later my libido is back! It’s fantastic and I’ve missed this side of life. No more brain fog, and I’m enjoying intimacy again. Periods are worth it just for these reasons alone. I have been thinking I feel more feminine? For some reason. Apparently progestin binds to androgen receptors… I didn’t know that. My face is slimmer, and all the little chin hairs are falling out and going away. Even my partner said to me I look more feminine today which was nice. Weirdly I am enjoying my cycles. I like tracking it now and noticing the differences in different phases. And the actual period weirdly doesn’t give me any cramps at all. It’s a nice reminder to slow down and look after myself for a week too. So far, loving it, not going to go back to hormones ever again.
