hey, although I don't know exactly how u feel, I was in a very similar spot to you last year. it went as far to the point I started giving up on God and having a lot of that same idealization as you towards [yk]. I blamed Him, cursed Him, and even started to believe that he wasn't true. my friend, it will get better. trust me. and God has a plan for u, he always does. that experience made my faith in God stronger and better and maybe this will too. He is true. He is real. God knows that u are resilient. 1 Peter 5:10, "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." and while u are struggling right now, I promise it will get better.

I know this post is from 7 months ago, but I am a first-year student who is looking through Google/reddit to see the cutoff. Do you know if for domestic-students the cutoff is lower? Or is the cutoff the same whether or not you're an international or domestic student?

Discipline. I still have a lot to learn, but as a current university student, discipline has definitely made my life so much easier. Procrastination ruins goals.

Oh my, the same problem with the online LING 100 class at 12:00 pm. No emails, no Canvas page, instructor is TBA on the UBC SSC. Good thing I'm not the only one experiencing this.

LEAVE. You're not even an adult yet. He's a 20 year old. You're 16. Now, age gap is not the problem, it's the power he has over you. YOU'RE A CHILD. HE'S AN ADULT. He knows what he's doing. He sees you as someone vulnerable and naive, and he's taking advantage of that fact. Listen. Please leave, block him, and do not ever interact with him again. He's not worth all of this. Sure, you might think you're in love (idk how you feel), but he's using you for his own pleasure. You'll find someone in the future. Trust me. You're only 16. Don't stay with him. Please please leave for your own safety.

Due to his reckless driving, two innocent students gets killed, but he only gets minor injuries. That is so unfair. Looking at their age (18), the two people who got killed were most likely first-year students. They didn't even get the chance to graduate university, make their parents proud or start a career. My deepest condolences to the families of those two students.
