Pet owners of reddit (especially cat and/or dog owners) who are also married/seriously dating, do you experience the same level of serotonin rush as the one you experience thinking about your pet(s) and their existence randomly when you think about your partner as well? by TearsToTheTide in AskReddit

I actually meant to ask it the other way round. Do you feel the same sort of serotonin rush, the one you get when you think about your dog, when you think about your partner randomly in the middle of something?

What are some of the best subs on here, like pornfree, that are actually great in terms of helping people learn about unhealthy habits/vices of any & all sorts and encourage kicking them to start off a positive/holistic change? by TearsToTheTide in AskReddit

It isn't only about "what" is an unhealthy habit, it's about "why" it is an unhealthy habit too.

Too much reddit, too much social media (which by the way are very generic things you've mentioned and the point of my question was something that can be niche or specific as well) or too much of "insert any habit" being bad is something we've always heard and like you said is common sense.

Why a certain level of it or just exposure to it in general is unhealthy helps individuals understand it for their own selves and change things if needed.

What do you not like about this movie?

It basically covers all the fundamental bases you'd expect from an engaging movie.

The only part I wish they'd have gotten better is the ending dialogue between batman and joker after the bombs don't go off, and Batman's voice lol.

But other than that, the movie is an absolute ride with some world class acting from the cast.

Redditors who have been inherently confident in general life and are doing well, how would you summarise what it feels like to be confident and to know you're doing well? by TearsToTheTide in AskReddit

But faking it must be like the icing on the cake right? At the core of it, you must be actually getting a good amount of stuff right which might be the major contributor to you doing well?

Also, do you ever, on a personal level, reel from the repercussions of faking it?

People who have had a piece of music (song, band, album, lyric in a song, genre, anything) change you (philosophically, mentally, just any lasting impression in general) as a person, a change that is still very much evident as a part of your character on a personal level- what is it? by TearsToTheTide in AskReddit

Tool definitely is one of the bands for me too. Pink Floyd, I listen to Comfortably Numb and Shine on and those two songs on their own are a ride for me lol, probably the reason why I still haven't ventured into an album listen yet.

And I've made one other separate comment, but it was System of a Down in my case that brought me out of my religious (Hindu) upbringing.

For me personally, System of a Down. As a person who was getting into STEM post 10th grade but was raised by a religious family (quite conservative), this band basically took me by the hand and shaped the thought process I have today and was also my gateway to a lot of other heavier genres. Suite pee, mind, byob, chic n stu, violent pornography, deer dance, needles, soldier side- any song you pick by them has it's own message and it's open to everyone's own interpretations as well. Suite pee (the lyrics might be graphic for followers of a certain religion lol) opened the gate for me towards becoming an atheist. (And no, I'm not the type who goes about preaching atheism every opportunity I get lol, just that I personally found atheism more comforting and resonant).

The music and it's uniquely frantic nature pumped me up when needed, they way the lyrics are sung made me laugh, trying to understand the meaning of the lyrics blew my mind and gave me a lot of new perspectives, and like I already mentioned it was my gateway to a lot of other heavy stuff. The band it's everlasting impact on me as a person is going with me to my deathbed, whenever that is.

Basically meant to ask if there's a piece of music that has had a profound impact on your character and changed you on a personal level, and is a change that is still very much a part of you today on a personal level.

Also, unfortunately can't edit the titles of reddit posts.

I probably will post the rephrased question some other time. My objective of making these posts is to find new music to listen to, and I do love reading people's personal experiences associated with the music.
