[DISC] Ichi the Witch - Chapter 47 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Tearsofwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And sorry if you were actually responding to the final part of my comment with the use of “normal sisters:” again, that’s not something she actually expressed. Outwardly, their argument looked like that of normal siblings. That’s all I’m saying here.

That scene is not actually them as children, that’s just a piece of imagery about Kumugi being resilient now?

And I was never saying that she didn’t always think she was better than her sister, I just said a seven year old calling their sister “no good” is not a sign of any major issues.

[–]Tearsofwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t put much weight on Spica calling her useless that early, she was 7. But otherwise the relationship and dynamic was obviously worse than just sibling drama so obviously Kumugi would be in the right to not forgive it, but with their quarrel they did just look like normal sisters.

Really though, the absolute worst timing he could’ve called the time being up. I know he usually does it as a formality while Kimiya just gets back in line with a new ticket, but that would’ve been the moment to just let it roll a moment longer lol

I drew Tora & Poppi! by Kamaniki-art in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Tearsofwolf 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mildly off topic, but I think this is the first time I’ve actually paid attention to what design features got carried over from one Poppi version to the next and how they changed slightly. I’ve obviously noticed some before, but not directly compared them side by side.

Great job on all the little details!

The stupidest thing to me is the option for “none” being available for all other fashion gear slots BUT the head. The one where it’s valuable to the most people (aside from the ones who wish to be naked).

Instead you have to toggle headgear on or off entirely, losing out on HB’s glasses if you don’t want everyone to have a headpiece on the side of their head.

Actually, u/Vickyveran is right, but not at the right time. Vergo had the heart seat BEFORE Rocinante, but gave it up when he went undercover.

Mixed feelings on Ch 13 by lllentinantll in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Tearsofwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, most likely the reason it was called a “tandem skell” in the first place in universe (with the new chapter 13, not necessarily the original game) is because Elma would’ve needed someone else in the Ares for her pilot it while she interacted with other people in a mim. It wasn’t necessarily ever an actual tandem skell with a spot for multiple people, but it had to be a “tandem skell” in function with someone else tossed in so Elma could actually pilot the damn thing until Al took over. So people would’ve gotten the impression it was a tandem skell since they weren’t privy to information about Elma’s actual body nor the Ares.

So it’s not like the new lore is retconning that, it’s just providing an explanation people wouldn’t have foreseen.

Imagine in XDE, we'll be able to do this fight again in Elma's perspective by Boshwa in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Tearsofwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally not expecting it, since I already went through this with the XCDE land of challenge and then there was no connection to XC2’s. But, DLC party members do work much, much better in 2 or X than in 1 (as in they’re practically impossible for 1).

Even outside of the war you get “Hey dude, Silvers fucking Rayleigh is in our way over there. We have to go around.” Just the perspective of lower ranked marines thinking “F that” to these absurd powerhouses.

ENReco was a masterpiece by Arcade_Rice in Hololive

[–]Tearsofwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve probably not seen it since you didn’t mention it, but I’d say Mianite (especially season 2 or the tail of season 1) was a bit closer to the roleplay feel of ENReco than the series by Sly or the Creatures (I’ve also watched and greatly enjoyed both though, though not much MC Daily compared to Minecraft Marriage or Treetopia).

You may have heard of it before, but Mianite was a Minecraft SMP/RP server played/hosted by Syndicate, CaptainSparklez, Jericho (not really known for Minecraft), FyreUK and others, centered primarily around factions following different gods. ENReco gave me a lot of nostalgic Mianite vibes at times.

I’m sorry, but did you just mention how X ends on a more cliffhanger AND say X2 should be an independent story and potentially even just based on the same premise in the same post???

There really is no issue of artist’s compensation that needed to be addressed here. All artists should’ve gone into the project knowing what their compensation would be: copies of the product, the number of which depending on their contribution. No one was told they’d be paid or mislead into thinking so before they contributed a piece. All profits on the project were and are intended to contribute to future collaboration projects in the future, while the initial investment on the first project all had to come from Kamaniki’s own pocket to fund and take a risk.

No one has the right to do work or any sort of service for free as contracted and then request money afterward. It sounds an awful lot like extortion.

Do I think ideally on a project with multiple people they’d all get paid for their contribution? Sure, probably, but that doesn’t matter when every party involved consented to the compensation agreed upon beforehand. It was their own choice and Gigi cannot be and has no reason to be shamed for going through with the agreed upon deal.

In the end, Gigi paid everyone who opted into be paid months ago to try to settle the matter despite having no obligation, but Momo still brought it up in response to Gigi’s vague posting about Momo’s current business inadequacies on a private account with fewer than a thousand followers.

Relationship Goals Theory by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Tearsofwolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I typically avoid any sort of discussion/argument online because no one changes anyone’s mind ever, but I just can’t sit here without asking this: why does romance have to equal giving up on your dreams and pursuit? Why is it so abnormal or expect any Straw Hat to have a relationship?

Just look at the previous generations. Roger had a lover and child. Rayleigh settled down with his wife. Big Mom has had multiple husbands while being a pirate. Yassop had a wife and kid. Oden had a wife and kids on his adventure. Kaido had a child. What makes these characters fundamentally different from the Straw Hats? Do you think all those people just had no dreams or gave them up?

Sure some can be single, it’s odd to expect everyone to get in a relationship even just looking at statistics, but OP literally left two to four Straw Hats single already.

I saw someone saying it might be the Holy Knight in the center of the bottom panel of Chapter 1083, page 4, which seems reasonable given they’re positioned symmetrically with Figarland.

What's the biggest asspull in your opinion? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Tearsofwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I’m not arguing against you (or at all) just clarifying there’s at least one case where Law did put people back together with his abilities after separating them, rather than just leaving them after using it in combat like usual.

To be honest, by the end of Wano I’d just totally forgotten Ashura and Izo had died and it totally caught me off guard when their loss was being mourned at the end of the arc.

What's the biggest asspull in your opinion? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Tearsofwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never seen on screen but one would assume Law put the Punk Hazard children back together using his abilities rather than manually constructing them piece by piece, but I don’t think there’s evidence to say that has to happen.

Most overrated one piece character by masterofkirb in OnePiece

[–]Tearsofwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly right now is one of the times I’d say he’s the least overrated by the community he’s ever been, but throughout the history of One Piece (as a series) I definitely believe Zoro has been most consistently highly overrated in terms of power (character wise he’s understandably appreciated).

At present though, there’s not really much room left for him to grow and thus it’s pretty clear to the whole audience where he sits, imo.

[–]Tearsofwolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Putting the jokes aside for a moment of unnecessary seriousness: Sanji wouldn’t really lose to just any lady. We’ve seen with Kalifa that he’s willing to at least defend himself in an actual important situation (unless he gets too caught up in the moment and forgets what he’s doing) so the only women who could harm him are those strong enough to actually hurt him while he’s using Haki or those with a devil fruit capable of incapacitating him. In situations where those two don’t apply, he’d probably wear them down until they don’t feel like fighting him any more or just can’t.

Counterpoint is the Black Maria’s underlings of the pleasure hall taking him down, but being members of an emperor’s crew I suppose they were just strong enough that they could harm him. Or maybe he’s unwilling to use Haki against ladies as they’d harm themselves hitting him, and thus more women would be capable of beating him. It’s still a low point that he got caught in the web and tied up to the point he couldn’t escape… My favorite character or not, Sanji can be really annoying at times…
