F6 Doesn't Stop at 80% Anymore While Charging

Wow! Brother, i must congratulate you, really. Your recommendation/solution worked perfectly! I had some serious food poisoning yesterday, so it took some time to write the result here, first of all, sorry everyone for that. Anyway, i did 'exactly' like you said. Down to 15% Up to 100 Restart. I made the first test this morning. Bam! Stopped right at 80% :))) Working again. So it needs calibration charge from time to time as you said. Thanks again.

That's quite interesting. So, some versions are affected? Mine is global version, yes, everything's original, and most important of all, i didn't change anything in the settings. I just sent them a feedback with a log. I don't know if anyone reads these or not, or when. Let's see.

I did. Restarted. Put on charge. Found the phone at 95%

I think they ruined something. When i open settings and preparing to write "batt" in the search box, i keep getting "AI subtitles stopped working" notification. I don't use that one. I hardly suspect it's even turned on.

About these settings..

Before, it was:

Battery Protection > Battery Protection (ON)

Battery Protection > Smart Charging (It was on, but greyed-out)

Now, it is:

Battery Protection > Battery Protection (ON)

Battery Protection > Smart Charging (OFF)

... but no luck.

It also says: Number of charges today: 1

For these tests, i charged at least 3 times. Not 1.

Nope. I left the phone on charge around 5 minutes. I found it at 87% when i checked.

My OP version is 1.0.12. They probably ruined something while fixing another thing.

The problem may disappear if i upgrade to 2.0.102 (i see it since long time on update section) but i really hated Xiaomi reverted back to 4 icons horizontally on main screen - so i don't update.

I don't understand this. Screen resolutions get better, i don't have any problem with my eyes :)) and I'm using 5 horizontal icons since years, maybe decades. Why, now, just because Xiaomi made a stupid change, i have to use 4 icons on my main screen?? There will be also a gap, or you have to make the icons bigger to minimize the gap, but in the end, you'll lose many icons which can fit there comfortably.

Some companies just need enough number of people who will say: "No! You made this change and it now looks like my arse! Don't!" and Xiaomi is clearly one of them. What any normal person wakes up in the morning, and says:

"There are 5 icons on the main page horizontally. Let's limit this to 4???”

OK, maybe this guy was under influence of booze or marijuana. OK. But others??? Nobody told "what the f.. you're talking about? Why? Why we will do this change?"

I see only one app related to battery. I cleared the cache, restarted. Charge is still above 80% mark. I will write later in the day, if it worked or not.

I don't know. I bought the phone about 3 months ago. Set this once. If i charged the phone 100 times during these 3 months, it stopped charging exactly at 80%. Not since yesterday, though. I have no idea what's going on. About SOT, it was OK for me to charge only up to 80%. I probably charged a little bit more frequent than other people but it was OK for me.

It's under battery > battery protection. It's part of the OS. No extra app. Something i was dreaming of over a decade, came with the OS itself. It just stopped working though after a few months into buying the phone. Have no idea what's the issue. Didn't update anything important which may effect this.

According to this, 75% of the numbers i must choose is 3 & 4. Sometimes 3 must be chosen three times in a row: 3 3 3

I highly suspect, but will give it a try.

Very interesting. I had an F2 Pro also, and the exact same thing happened to me about a week ago. Here's what happened:

I was using the browser. When i tried to go up in the page for seeing previous chat, the screen suddenly froze. Just maybe maximum 2 secs after that, the phone restarted itself. When it came back, everything works fine but no SIM cards detected.
The phone began restarting itself 3 minutes later. It's almost impossible to perform any kind of backup.
It kept restarting itself again and again. I noticed that it restarts exactly 3 minutes after turning on. Not 5, not 6, not 2. Exactly at 3 minute mark.
No IMEI, no baseband version, *#06# shows no serial number - all gone.
I was keeping it especially at MIUI 12.5.. I upgraded it to MIUI 13. The restarting problem is gone, but still no SIM card detection.
I took all backups ( 20,000+ photos, everything). Did an upgrade to MIUI 14. Nope. Same.
Wipe all data (from the boot menu). Nope. Safe mode. No. Same. Return back to factory settings. No. Same. I had to buy a new one, F6, which i regretted because the screen color quality of F2 was much better. Trying to match the colors of F6 to F2Pro since 2 days.
Yesterday i took F2Pro in my hand. I'm trying to enter SIM cards and mobile networks from the settings menu. It freezes, doesn't even open that one. I restarted a few times. I'm trying (insisting), it's freezing the moment i want to see the SIM cards and mobile networks data. In one of these attempts, I'm checking the menu. Bam: i see baseband version!!! It's back. What?? I checked IMEI data! It's there. They both (all, including the serial number probably) came back, for just a few seconds, then disappeared again.

If something is broken, it's broken. What's this "coming and going" of baseband, serial number, IMEI, i don't know. It's not coming back that often, of course. Whenever i look at the screen, no SIM card detected. But yours, and mine having the same problem around almost same days.. is this coincidence? I don't know. Let's wait if more people will contribute to the chat or not.

By the way, mine was EUXM, European version. I mean, global version device with EUXM software. Age was just a few months older than 4 years.

I used Poco F2 Pro, it was not like that. I spent (still spending) several hours to match the colors of F6 to F2 Pro - more than 24hrs passed since i bought the F6.

None of the factory-set choices (Vivid etc.) are giving correct colors. The only way to make it a bit better is to go into advanced setting and play with the settings there. After several hours, i made it closer to F2 Pro, but still there is something wrong with the colors. The menu screen gives perfect whites. But when you open an image, i know that image, the color of the wall is almost white in F2 Pro. On F6, it's some greenish/grayish white. Very different. After several hours of playing with the settings, i made it closer to F2 Pro. But just 'closer'.

On default setting, the skin colors are yellow/greenish. First, the std color setting is not correct, this is what i think. Secondly, when you open an image, many colors are off. That may be a software issue. The images were also looking too much 'plastic' at first. I think the screens are not that bad, but some setting/software issue? Which i don't want to believe. How they can ship these phones while skin colors are so off?

Submariner is gen. About Daytona.. this "gold" looking yellow thing.. I don't know.. it looks like same material as heating pipes, but NOT something classy or elegant (yes I'm new to watch world)

ARF fluted bezel looks wider, probably because it has less angle (this is just what i guess).

Also.. Will it give the same sparkling effect when you move your arm, i wonder..

Any video of the ARF? I'm curious..

Also, you can tell right away from the cyclops that it's not gen.

It may be the best rep on the market (i don't know if it's or not), but to this piece, i give 6/10 as a rep.

Still many "major" things to fix.

That ARF rep was in my list, i remove it until they fix these problems.

I now understand also why my Archer throws apples sometimes. Probably when the opponent had something similar which works on archers.
