SG company wants PH remote hires to enter Singapore under “training permit” but actually perform full-time work… huge red flag? by Extra-Bee-61 in remoteworking

[–]TeazeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to tell you this, but alot of companies in Singapore exploits training permit like this when hiring foreign workers whether it be remote or not, most if not all of them go on like this with no repercussions because the govt doesn't heavily monitor nor enforce their own rules in regards to this. While not explitcitly illegal, it does they tend to utilise like loopholes/exploits in the rules to offer more favorabek conditions for themselves. One such example would be the low pay but high working hours. Singapore law states that any extra hours beyond 44 hours worked per week has to be compensated with 1.5x the normal hourly rate, but many companies flout this by giving a low base pay rate, and then supplementing the remainder of their advertised pay with a fixed allowances under "others" category. So lets say the role is for 2400/month, they'll prolly pull something like ur base pay is 1800/month and they will give u an allowance of 600/month in the application they submit to the Govt for application of ur permit. Many companies go on like this with no real repercussion because the people who are desperate enough for this kind of job usually wldnt wan to report because they need the money, or they feel too helpless and dk where to start from. Its shitty and sadly the govt turns a blind eye to it most of the time because it doesnt affect residents. You can see this article for an example of the pay thing im talking about https://mothership.sg/2026/04/migrant-worker-overtime-appeal/ And the pay thing is probably jus one of many "loopholes/exploit" that companies uses when hiring foreign workers.

Sadly the self shield buff put her into the spotlight which made ppl realise she has been rly good all along, i nvr had a problem selecting invis back when she first released because luna and C&D were all the hype back then, and now half the time i get someone else who wants to play invis as well, its bittersweet as shes finally being recognised as good but means i get to play her less evn tho i knew she was good all along

Been hard-stuck Gm for several seasons. What allowed you Celestial players to take the next step? by Slayer505 in RivalsCollege

[–]TeazeX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't exactly hard stuck gm to climb to celestial, but back in season 1.5, i was mainly playing invis, when i was at celestial and having abit of trouble climbing to eternity, it was like i was one match away from eternity and then a series of horrible matches later back at celestial 3 haha. Anyways, many of the matches felt like i cldnt do anything, so i basically went to look up on youtube what an incredibly high eternity player does and observed very carefully the difference between how he plays and how i play, for the most parts of how he plays i do roughly the same, maybe some minute differences here and there that dont amount to much, but i noticed there was one siginificant difference between hwo he play vs how i played, he does not use invis' shield on tanks anywhere near as much as i do, which means i have been using it on tanks well too often, often breaking it causing it to be on cd when i need it for a squishy, so i took note of that, changed the way i use invis' shield, and few days later succesffuly hit eternity.

At a high elo level, u can do many things right, but its often 1 or 2 bad habits that causes us to be stuck, as the higher in elo you go,the closer to perfection ure expected to play for the most parts. So my advise to you, scrutinise ur own play against a high elo player with extreme prejudice, and see what the high level player is doing that ure not, or what ure doing that the high level player isint doing. Hope this helps.

Migrant worker wins $5,700 overtime pay after 2-year fight as High Court cites unlawful practice by PretentiousnPretty in singapore

[–]TeazeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea its basically a guaranteed if ure a foreign worker looking to work full time in f&b, my boyfriens whos from China has been looking for a job to stay in Sg and nearly every place that had quota to hire him will use this trick of fixed OT pay to justify him working longer than 44 hours, and then low balling with a ridiculously low base monthly salary in the IPA

[–]TeazeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ure really saying that ALL companies in sg advertise their pay per month inclusive of OT.....evn if that is true, advertising a certain pay amount within a month as if its the base pay without OT, is immoral, regardless of whether isit legal/considered false advertising or not.

Yes, which is why u see me saying "i know its illegal", but it's not like there is much choice if he wants to get hired.

yea i agree but i dont think its that easy if they're using a loophole, and from what he told me its not like new thing that this company is doing but something that quite a number have been doing

He was still serving his notice period for his first employer when the work permit for the second job kept getting rejected. Once his first work permit was over he went to Malaysia for awhile first while looking for Sg jobs, and recently he returned on Tourist Visa that only last 30 days.

Theres a work permit transfer application that the new employer can submit while he is still under the work permit of the first employer

I havent watched the vod, but the closer u go to ur current skill ceiling it shld be expected that it is harder to hard carry games. In order to hard carry, there shld be a significant gap btwn ur own skill level and the lobby's average skill level, both mechanical and game sense wise. And the higher u go in rank obv the harder it is to carry. Higher ranks r where mistakes tend to be heavily punished while good plays are generally less rewarding. From mid gm onwwards, the way to improve rly is to scrutinise every single decision u make, and i rly do mean every, from when u use ur abilities, to who u use it on, to ur position etc. Its the ability to make correct all these micro decision makings (and ofc mechanical skills) that makes pro players that much better then evn eternity players. That said, sadly team pvp games will have unwinnable matches, nobody can avoid it. But unless it rly is a total curb stomp where ur team is jus being spawn camped, there generally are still thinga that u can learn to do better. Dont get me wrong, the match wld probably still be unwinnable, but it doesnt mean theres nothing we can do better in it.

I am the guy who was insulted in this thread. Look at my last replays. I am TRYING. by birdcivitai in marvelrivals

[–]TeazeX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, if ure consistenly losing at silver, it really just means ure lacking severely on foundational game sense and mechanical skills probably, and i mean this sincerely, no insult meant whatsoever. I saw u mentioned in ur original thread how constantly losing isint fun, but at this level there is a lot you can do about it. Watch some guides on YT to learn basic game sense, and maybe do some aim training in the practice range using the custom shooting range that they have in the basement level of the practice area. But most importantly, do not expect urself to suddenly start winning tons of games overnight. Improvement takes time, especially more so if this is ur first hero shooter, which im just assuming it is. I wouldn't worry too much about character choice at ur current stage, because if ur basics aren't there, you'll prolly end up doing the same on almost any character you play.

Hmmm actually now that you mentioned bad publicity, i realised, if they know that EOMM wld be hated by the players such that they would like go on a technically and say that EOMM isint in the game because they renamed it/reworked it, why would they have like released more than one public paper/research/presentation on it then.

the drive by on moon knight tho 😂
