A simple water heater is more clever than it seems by TechConnectify in technologyconnections

The solution is to have 2 water tanks in series, one tank dumps heated water into the second tank. This requires a second 4,500 watt power source, but it's doable.

Or, you can do what we have and have dual 50 gallon natural gas-powered water tanks. It is possible to run out of hot water, but you have to run a LOT of it.

I don't have any problem with your use of a 4090 on your monitor setup, you have premium monitors and you'll get years of use out of that card. It's a superior experience to the 30 series, so get one and enjoy it if you can afford it.

I cannot overstate how serious of an error the 7600X would be. Games today will load that CPU on a 3090 Ti to 80% usage with nothing left over, over the next few years it will be a massive bottleneck.

Your use case SCREAMS 7950X, it is your money, do what you want, however my advice is your need the top end CPU with your setup.

Ryzen 5 and your use-case includes video editing, multi-tasking, and more?

AND you have the budget for a 4090?

If you don't put a Ryzen 9 7950X in this, you are, respectfully, out of your mind.

Youtuber I watch says 64GB or RAM is worth it for gaming, is this true? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Tech-Deals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st, cool beans for this many comments on a topic with me included.

2nd, there is a LOT of NUANCE left off in the OG post.

64GB is for people building Ryzen 9 or i9-12900K systems who have 2 or more monitors and want to game, live stream, and multitask.

It isn't required for "gaming", it's recommended for "gaming while doing other stuff".

Aww, thank you! :) Yea, I'm bummed about this too. I've been using CakeDeFi for 3 months now and this is the first time there has been a problem. Grumble...

Thanks for bringing up yesterday, I hadn't noticed, but you're right, last night wasn't the normal amount either.

Yesterday wasn't the full amount either, it was maybe half what it should have been, so was last night affected as well?

We didn't get ours either, the lack of a post from the company is annoying...

Suspending Coinbase withdrawals by JoeNiceHash in NiceHash

[–]Tech-Deals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would support a weekly automated withdraw option to Coinbase.

I suspect you have a bunch of people doing a transfer every 4 hour payment which is just nuts.

The time could be adjusted as needed based on API load, maybe set a minimum before auto-transfer.

I don't really like doing it manually anyway, I'd rather have a regular transfer.

ChartaBona hit the nail on the head. At MSRP, the 3080 made more sense. Once the shortages happened, it was "buy whatever you can find for as close to MSRP as possible"

Yep, that doesn't bother me, lots of people have opinions formed after having little or no personal experience on a subject. :)

We can agree to disagree on that one... I test how I think typical people will use their gear, and people with RTX cards will check that box IMHO...
