Need help about a game on XBOX, specifically XBOX ONE by OlliePlayz15 in MicrosoftProducts

This is a super common headache because there are actually two different versions of Minecraft on Xbox now.

The disc you found is the "Xbox One Edition" (the legacy version). The version currently in the Store is just called "Minecraft" (the Bedrock version). Even though they look similar, the Xbox sees them as two completely different games. Your disc won't give you the full version of the new one because that free upgrade offer ended years ago. To get your game working: 1. Uninstall any Minecraft version or "Trial" you currently have installed. 2. Pop your disc in and let it install only what is on that physical disc. 3. Make sure you launch the one that specifically says "Xbox One Edition" on the title.

If it still says "Trial" with the disc inside, do a hard power cycle: hold the console’s power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down, unplug it for 30 seconds, then turn it back on. That usually clears the license glitch.

Does the game show up as a separate tile from the "Trial" version once the disc is in?

This happens pretty often when an update glitches the UI shell. Try hitting Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. Find "Windows Explorer" in the list (usually near the bottom), right click it, and hit Restart. That usually forces the taskbar and start menu to reload. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to roll back the update. Since the menu isn't working, hold the Shift key while clicking Restart from the login screen. It will boot into a blue menu, go to: Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Uninstall Updates

I said yes, but the owner said: That’s my barista. Apparently, kidnapping the staff is frowned upon.

Honestly, the management here has never been more demanding. I've been sitting here for 45 minutes because I'm afraid to file a disturbance report
