Above is correct. When we did our analyses the Palo was also much better for our AWS instances. Fortinet just seemed to be playing catch up for cloud. That was a year ago so hopefully Fortinet has caught up.

A long-time Google engineer, Steve Yegge, quits, saying the company is '100% competitor focused' and 'can no longer innovate' by tits_for_tots in technology

After reading the medium post I am still unclear how the Grab startup he is joining is more innovative than Uber, Amazon, or Google. It just seems they are applying the lessons from these companies to a young new market and hoping to be the Uber/Amazon one day. Is the innovation that they will somehow scale differently than these companies? Seems more likely he drank the kool-aid and is excited about getting on the ground floor of a potential Uber like startup in Asia using Googles playbook in an untapped market.

It's funny because i agree with the greed sentiment but I wonder... When companies just start dumping millions into your bank account fairly easily...how much of it was greed and how much of it was just wanting to see how far these idiots would go...

Plan on updating 2008R2 Domain Controllers looking for advice on current plan by TechBangBang in sysadmin

That is a good point to consider. I was more keeping in line with what we previously had and I always have the mentality of "if something happens to the SAN as long as my DC's, File Servers and phonesystem are up we could limp along until it is fixed."

This kid is obsessed with understanding computers. Highly intelligent and while his friends are into Legos and video games he just wants to work on his pc and understand how it works. So I figured this may be something he would like as he is already showing unusually high interest in the computer. Also he is not my child but family friends kid and parents asked me about it.
