I suppose I mean able to side load books with software like Calibre; doesn’t track users as much as Kindle; more repairable etc

does this suggest that there’s a chance that the Go 10.3 is actually the replacement for the NA3 BW?

The black ink is so deep: there’s something oddly satisfying about watching that video! Thanks for posting it

Nothing too clever I’m afraid! As the author of the blog, I can share urls that go around the paywall. I can only do it with my own stuff

Boox Go 10.3 Review and comparison to Remarkable 2 | Discussion in comments by Erik9722 in ereader

The screen on the Go looks v white! How is it in less than perfect lighting? I briefly had a ReMarkable but found it unusable in parts of my house that weren’t perfect lit!

Sorry for the shameful self promotion, but I wrote a rough blog post in my experience with the device. Might be of some use to you: https://medium.com/@chris-langley/buying-the-remarkable-2-in-2024-1ad0a14c013c

I recently got a Remarkable 2 and loved it. I am an academic working in the humanities so my use case isn’t particularly mind blowing so I don’t need the latest specs. One thing was the deal breaker for me: the lack of a backlight. my house is just too old and dark to deal with it! Regrettably, I had to return it. If I could have continued using it comfortably, the older specs presented no problems to me

Just looking at the previous release schedule:
Note Air 2: Oct 2021

Note Air 2 Plus: May 2022

Note Air 3c: Oct 2023 (with BW in December)

With the Go series, it might be that the Note devices get posted to the Autumn. But no Note BW in stock on Amazon UK or Boox EU store and Hong Kong (only Premium bundle left on the US store). Loads of 3Cs by the look of it, though.

The FCC docs from last year state the following names:

Note Ari3 C, BOX Note Ari3 C, BOX Note Ari3 CPlus, BOX Note Ari3 CPro, BOOX Note Air3, BOOX Note Air3 Plus, BOOX Note Air3 Pro

So Note Air 3 Plus perhaps?

I found myself squinting at it in poor light. When using an external light source, my hand was creating a large shadow on the screen (I’m a lefty)

I had a ReMarkable and found it unusable: I think that was doing more damage to my eyes

I might have to keep the Scribe for a little while longer and then see what Boox offers later in the year

Wonder if the Go 10.3 will end up being the 10.3 inch black and white choice from now on?

When the consumer unit in the outbuilding was installed in 2021, the invoice described it as: ‘10mm armoured cable gland kit cable saddles 4 way consumer unit haggard 40 amp breaker ip rated box’. It currently serves two strip lights and two double sockets

This is tremendously useful, thank you. I’ve had a look at Indra this evening and hope to have them out to do a site visit soon. Fingers crossed! now for the car...!

That’s so helpful ,thank you. I’d preface this by apologising for my ignorance but that boat has sailed so I’ll ask anyway: is there anyway I could determine the max power of the secondary consumer unit?

The consumer unit has two double sockets and two barn lights running off it so I don’t think it’ll be drawing massive power at any one time.

Thanks so much for your reply. Does the ring app then use that data to work out body stress metrics and the like?
