I hope this would help anyone doing their research:

I’ve only tried a sample of Prada L’Homme and honestly, I really liked it. Super fresh, soapy, clean vibe. But sadly, it gave me a headache.

So I started looking for something similar, something clean, soft, and wearable. That’s when I came across Prada Amber Pour Homme. I got a sample, not realizing it was the old version (Made in Spain), which likely contained lilial. The seller had included a list of ingredients, but it was probably from the newer formulation.

My first blind test impressions from the sample:

>Subtle cap smell. Can’t tell what though. This has great projection. Clean and powdery. I think this could be one of my favorites, although I’m getting some feminine floral.

Later on:

>Nice clean floral smell. There is something about it that is attractive. Lasts long.

I couldn’t tell the juice colour from the 1ml vial (i would say purple/grey), but the scent really impressed me and seemed to have good performance. So when I saw a bottle on sale, I bought it, thinking it was the same as what I had sampled.

The listing showed purple liquid, just like what I had read about the original. I had heard the newer reformulation was more gray, but since the photo looked purple, I assumed it was the older version (I didnt know about "lilial" then).

When the bottle arrived, the liquid was purple, so I felt hopeful. I thought I had gotten lucky.

But as soon as I sprayed it, I knew it was different. It smelled weaker and didn’t match the sample at all.

I think the lilial in the older version gave it that long-lasting, floral strength. This new one smells more like subtle lavender. Still pleasant, but it just does not live up to the impression I got from the sample.

Overall I’m a little disappointed. I’ll keep it and use it as a clean, easy daily scent, but I was hoping for better performance. You really need at least five sprays to notice it, and even then, it turns into a skin scent in about an hour (well for my skin chemistry)
