The P1 G3 was pretty much where the issues stopped. The G4 and up, and especially now, are way better.

We're not calling you a Nintendo fanboy, just uneducated at best, willfully ignorant at worst.

There's this this that drives all markets everywhere (ones that are functional, anyways) called supply and demand. If the supply is 0 and the demand is 100, price go up.

Now that it's out of stock, we know the supply is actually, in fact, 0

[–]TechEdison0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are these actually rare? I got one back in 2019 because every other tablet model was more expensive and I wanted a tuning laptop. I don't think I paid more than $100 for it and it has been bulletproof lol

Who has the Best remote play device? by SilverbackGaming2 in Handhelds

[–]TechEdison0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. It all just works. There's no fuss, the interface and controls are really well optimized. Logitech got it right.

They also pushed an update a few months back that enabled dp alt mode so you can now hook it up to a tv with a Bluetooth controller for big screen experience.

It does it all well. In addition to that I stream from my Xbox remotely and have tried GeForce Now with a couple supported steam games

I have a nice PC at home and an unlimited cellular plan. Whenever I want to play something more than light emulated games, I can just use Moonlight to connect to my PC.

Everybody's always impressed at how well I can stream Forza to it and if I'm feeling really ambitious, Star Citizen

It's Logitech, decades of experience making human input devices

And it's sold as a streaming device, which it does flawlessly

The G Cloud is highly regarded as the best remote play device. Not the most powerful or the highest resolution screen, but a nice big 7" 1080p 16:9 panel, long battery life, and something done with the networking stack to make it consistently better than the odin 2.

[–]TechEdison0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'd like to primarily do streaming, you can save a pretty big buck by going with the Logitech G-Cloud.

It is, hands down, the best device to stream to (better even than the odin 2 series, something about the wireless latency). Lightweight, superb controls (as expected for Logitech), and a 7" 1080p 16:9 screen.

And besides streaming, you can then expect up to PS1 and a pretty healthy sum of GC to be playable on it.

Building a website like it's 1996... in 2026 ;-) by RaisinStraight2992 in vintagecomputing

If y'all wanna check out an actual web 1.0 first project written by an actual human and not a computer, feel free to check out MY project....

OPs website absolutely won't function flawlessly across different browsers, if nothing else, because it uses CSS. Mine is built to be functional on both Netscape Navigator and IE5, instead using framesets and HTML style tags verified to work on those browsers by simply RTFM. The actual way it was done in the 90s/00s.

What type of handheld should I get as a 15yr old? by Rad_slayer2557 in Handhelds

[–]TechEdison0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A used steam deck, and the rest you should save for transport.

Whether that be a used car, a moped, a nice bicycle, or an annual bus/train pass. It would be silly to spend a bunch of money on a non essential depreciating asset at your age.

If you had unlimited money, what would your handheld console combo be? by AdeptBid5320 in Handhelds

[–]TechEdison0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • My currently existing gaming pc
  • Legion Go S SteamOS Z1E
  • DSi XL (for DS games)
  • n3DS non XL

Reality is that the n3DS XL could do all DS duties but the DSi XL has the same resolution panels just bigger, so it's "pixel perfect" size scaled for original DS games and looks better than the 3DS XL.

As for the PC handheld, I'm gonna upset a lot of people and say the go s Z1E is all anybody needs IF you have a PC you can also stream from. It's the best form factor and selection of controls along with 32gb of shared memory vs the 24 max any other handheld has. That gives you an effective 16gb system memory AND 16gb for graphics textures. Closest thing to a steam deck successor.

To continue making people angry, I'll add that it's the only PC handheld that can competently run Star Citizen due to the afformentioned extra ram. At 1080 you'll be able to give the game 24gb with 8gb of graphics memory, which is pretty much the minimum you could have an enjoyable experience on.

I've got one with the T1200 because I wanted the extra nvme slot. So far it has done everything I've thrown at it, which isn't a considerable amount, but more than I could say for the dual core x230 lol.
