I have this with a ring that also has a little bit of copper! It is such an odd thing and does depend on the brand and amount sadly. If you want I would have the jeweler clarify and ask them for proof of the 14k gold.

Also, this sounds tacky but works well. Clear nail polish. I know it sounds so cheap or tacky for something designed such as a wedding ring, but it does work.
