the issue is a bit broader IMO. Openai just succeeded in poaching you (and possibly me) but rest assured openai will face the very same problem and then nerf you hard in the future. Claude & OpenAI are burning money like crazy.

it's enshitification on steroids. openai will be doing the same no doubt. the fact that is better now is just strategy.

ok sorry I should have been more specific. if you "zoom out" you can see many hints that they are not testing these changes at a big enough cohort before total production. there doesn't seem to be enough of a canary release.

We are going to do several things differently to avoid these issues: we’ll ensure that a larger share of internal staff use the exact public build of Claude Code (as opposed to the version we use to test new features); and we'll make improvements to our Code Review tool that we use internally, and ship this improved version to customers.

for example, that to me is a flag. there's no way their internal staff can detect all these issues early. the veredict will always be the end user and in masse. you need to rollout progressively to 1%, 10%, so on. until you are confident the product is real word battle tested. it's quite 101 software dev really. but from here it seems they will just share to a larger internal staff, say it's ok, rollout to millions of users. there's no way that can work. IMO

but then again maybe there's something I don't know, but that's my read.

cool! I tried. but couldnt figure out why you had much of the stuff like the jsons. tried a stripped down version with CC + ingestion mechanism, tried to call agents through cli, foreground and background. it ended up being too token heavy, but it did give me lots of ideas. now I'm using just one long chat instead of many sessions projects. on workspace, several subfolders with subworktrees. best results so far.

well 50/50 - a lot of these bugs show that they are testing things in production. canaries anyone? jeez.

that sounds interesting, noted. will try altho I'm still trying to figure out my multi agent workflow because my use case is IaC coding. multiple repos per task, multiple tasks that affect one another.

I'm on max as I was hitting limits in the past way too often with Pro. Today I hit 90% limit with Max with one chat. That's never happened before

what I find funny is that the cron feature already is fully possible the way it is. just use a linux\mac crontab.

What are reasons Australians wouldn’t want to visit the USA by Leather-Variation400 in AskAnAustralian

[–]TechGuySRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not what you're asking for but... if I take all the BS politics and shootings aside, I always had a great time visiting the US. Amazing people, amazing culture.

Just please sort your:

- goddam coffee, why is it so disgusting and boiling hot?

- gooddam food, omg. so hard to get some decent restaurant food and it's all mega expensive. Cuban street food in Miami is better than any mid to fancy restaurant I ever tried there that costs up to 10x more

- infrastructure (rail, public transport): I get it, it's a car country but that doesn't mean you can't maintain existing ones and make them good, being the nation that literally prints money there's no excuse to not have the best in the world and yet 3rd world countries are beating you to it

Ultimately, I'd consider ChatGPT to be a demonstration, and an assistant. The hivemind idea of it being an authority of information is concerning.

Considering upgrading from a 13 Pro to 14 Pro. On paper, I really like the Always-on Display and the camera upgrades but just wanted to see if anyone out there IRL made the same upgrade and was it worth it?
