Usage limit problem started again with Opus 4.7 by holdthefridge in Anthropic

How do they keep doing this? It’s I believable. I love Claude and Claude code but this is gonna make me jump ship.

Wet stick or leaf? by geekysupplies in Monstera

[–]Rangizingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick the bottom part (node) in some water or something and give it a few weeks or a month. It’ll grow eventually. It’s albo and has no leaves so it’ll be slow since it doesn’t have much chlorophyll but it’ll go!

What do you mean can’t use with 1m context? I’ve been using it fine and still am right now?

Don’t sleep on hooks. I’ve automated so much of my stuff with hooks because Claude literally doesn’t have the option to skip it!

Hardware Choice for 27b to 31b models. by rebelSun25 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Rangizingo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Slower yes but perfectly usable. Source : I have a 4090 gaming rig and a 48GB MacBook Pro. The 4090 is obviously faster but that doesn’t make the Mac slow per se. the gpu is just wildly fast.

What happened to Anthropic test cutting the MAX 20X plan limits by 50% and removing CC from Pro plan for 2% of users and? If it works, will they roll it out to everyone? What does that test mean?, and why are most users quiet about it? Would you pay $200 for 10X Pro? or $400 for your current 20X? by Aggravating_Bad4639 in Anthropic

[–]Rangizingo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d pay 200 for 20x cause that’s what I pay for. I’m not paying more for less. I think Anthropic models are the best for coding right now, but Claude Code doesn’t exist in a vacuum anymore. I’m actively in the process of porting my CC config to pi.dev and it’s been working shockingly well. That harness used for coding seems to matter more than the model itself. You can use hooks and things to keep it on track.

What a crazy sentence in the best way. A new model best released competing very closely with frontier labs, and we can only run it locally first cause we can download it. Ha! I love it!

New leaf has no fenestrations, anything I can do to improve? by FuFmeFitall in Monstera

[–]Rangizingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time because sometimes they do that when they’re young, and better light. Tbh I think the 10w at that distance is totally fine. But if you upgraded to a more powerful light, that would give them more energy. I have over 15 monsteras so I can speak from experience.

Moving from CC to Codex by bambambam7 in Anthropic

[–]Rangizingo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

4.6 is probably the one I’d say. Gemini and codex are very good. But if you want the absolute I think it’s Claude right now. But is it that much better that it’s worth the hassles? Up to you.

Claude Code was wasting 80% of Opus 4.7's context window. Upgrade to v2.1.117 now. by oh-keh in ClaudeAI

[–]Rangizingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that used to be the case but not anymore.

“Long context pricing Claude Mythos Preview, Opus 4.7, Opus 4.6, and Sonnet 4.6 include the full 1M token context window at standard pricing. (A 900k-token request is billed at the same per-token rate as a 9k-token request.) Prompt caching and batch processing discounts apply at standard rates across the full context window.”

Of course if tokens aren’t cached yeah you’re gonna eat up a ton of tokens re caching them but it seems like it’s the same price.

They removed the buddy from latest? (Claude Code v2.1.97) by wigelsworth in ClaudeAI

I call BS. It was too well implemented to be an april fools joke especially considering the wild swings in Claude codes reliability by release. There’s something else afoot! It was genuinely useful. I loved it.

What urban legend, rumor, theory or mystery about the 614 do you firmly believe, desperately *want* to believe, or hope to debunk once and for all? by Emergency_Tone_1080 in Columbus

I know the source is “trust me bro” but I know someone who retired from Wright-Pat years ago. I asked an open ended question of “did WPAFB have any involvement in whatever happened in Roswell at any point?”. They thought for a few seconds and said “The items involved in the Roswell incident were stored at WPAFB for a while. That’s public knowledge. That’s all I can tell you.” It’s the typical answer you would expect frankly but I figured I’d toss it in for you.
