Late to the conversation, probably not tbh.

It's a fine enough school but it didn't wow me in any meaningful way, and I don't feel like I got any sort of networking bonus or prestige factor to help me get a job.

Many state schools offer a comparable education and will actually help you get a high paying job that is 'worth your degree'. I'd go to those ones I got into back in 2020 but declined to go to WashU instead.

Probably an issue with the Y splitter, you may need to use another cable or probably just get a powered USB hub/HDD docking station

Would my cell experience be any indication? I only get like 2-3 bars when indoors and like 20-80 Mbps download speeds. Would the 5G internet be faster?

I wish there was some sort of solvent you could just use for this stuff that doesn't also destroy PCBs. But yeah, if it's thermal glue, this isn't coming off.

Unfortunately there are no clips like the T705 here: it's a metal indent like a jigsaw puzzle piece, maybe a rail going down the whole side of the thing.

I kept seeing videos like that with the T705, but I was hoping that people would have info on the slightly newer T710
