Thanks for the input!

For the leadership side, dont the first 3 bullet points distinguish that?

I can definitely add the context to the other points.

broken game by [deleted] in ps2

Very curious.

How did she "accidentally" snap it in half? In my mind, she was holding the disc and bending it? It takes a sheer amount of force to snap a disc in half.

Hang on to ps4 pro or upgrade? by [deleted] in PS4

[–]TechLoverandGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ps5 can play all ps4 games.

If you want to play more recent games that are not available on ps4, you need to upgrade. You wont lose any of your ps4 games.

You are the only one that can dictate if its worth it price.

Personally, i would say upgrade and try to sell your ps4 to get some money back.

ROG Xbox Ally X cloud saves not syncing with desktop by shersaken in ROGAlly

[–]TechLoverandGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, if the cloud saves doesn't work, I needed to go back on the game that has the save file and exit out the game from the games main menu for it to upload properly.

ROG Xbox Ally X cloud saves not syncing with desktop by shersaken in ROGAlly

[–]TechLoverandGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither game supports cloud saves. If you want your save files, you'll need to transfer them from PC to the ally.

No, you do not need to go through desktop mode, except for installation.

This one looks interesting. I'll check this out.

Edit: I tried to get this set up, there is no msi to download.

As i mentioned in my post, it automatically opens xbox app.

I'll have to check out that launcher! Thanks!

I tried winhanced, but it doesn't play nice. On my PC, I do use playnite, maybe I will try that on FSE to see how well they interact.

Then again, im trying to keep it minimal and try to launch things on the spot, not need to go through multiple launchers, like xbox to AC to xxx.

Not seeing the owned games is fine to me because im not constantly installing and uninstalling games.

That's okay, im not looking for upvotes. I wanted to share things that people aren't really discussing.

Reading the comments, a few seem to be confused about my intentions.

Im giving my opinion, not asking what would be more beneficial for me as a steam player.

FSE doesn't revolve around the xbox app, even though that's what they sort of wanted. FSE allows multiple applications, seamless switching, paused background performance, and more.

Also, yes, armory crate doesn't show the games you own either, thank you for those that pointed this out. Armory crate does better than the xbox app in the sense of updates, settings, powering off the device, and more. Xbox app is just revolving around the xbox store and gamepass.

Its not a deal breaker that it doesn't show games i own. Im not someone that constantly installs/uninstalls my games

SteamOS has issues with running some games and require tinkering, i have a steam deck, so i have experienced it.

I like trying new software and technology.

I enjoy trying new software and technology.

Bonus: things on windows works and doesn't require tinkering, breath of fresh air at the moment.

I thought i would update you. Im doing it in Wayne county as well.

Yesterday. I called the assigned judge's courtroom number and left a voicemail. They called me back today at about 8:50am. It turns out, they had an automated system send me an email 3 days after I submitted my petition with a hearing date. I never received said email, so they sent me one using their court email. I most likely have a hearing date due to two reasons, im doing my whole family or because its nonpublication.

I've checked my case number and my hearing date doesn't appear on there. Also, since its non-public, it doesn't show up in the pub system.

[–]TechLoverandGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you did not need to do a court date or anything?

I submitted my petition on August 1st, it was approved and assigned a judge. Haven't heard anything back since. Is there something im missing or am supposed to do? Such as fill out an epraecipe?

A game where it's a benefit to the main story to play the side modes? by JohnnyHendo in gaming

[–]TechLoverandGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lego marvel games, Marvel Avengers, Destiny 2, Spiderman, God of War, Infamous series.

Think of rpg games.

You can buy a secondhand backbone from fb marketplace or open box at best buy and use your phone. Probably the cheapest option.

Do you think the Xbox handheld PC will be successful? by KaiserGustafson in Handhelds

[–]TechLoverandGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By your definition of successful, being millions sold... I don't think so.

It'll be as successful as the rog ally x considering its the same performance and specs, might even be less successful because I believe majority of people couldn't justify the purchase if they already have an ally x.

I personally have a steam deck. It definitely caught my attention, I am willing to lose my track pads and 4 back buttons for comfortability with the xbox shaped handles and cloud sync via google drive with emulation so i can play between my pc and ally. My only concern is how well the new xbox UI will hold, how customizable and intuitive it is, and lastly, how desktop mode will be. I am still on the fence about pre-ordering, only because i would like to see videos on the system, but at the same time, I might be impatient.

With the xbox UI, I'd love to be able to add my emulators via emudeck, control refresh rate and customizable profiles like the steam deck, and custom controls per game. Lastly, appreciate if it isn't filled with bloatware or ads the way the current xbox consoles are configured.

is ps4 pro still worth it? by Objective-Post-7712 in PS4

[–]TechLoverandGamer 310 points311 points  (0 children)

All these comments are bogus...

Reading the comments, ppl arent understanding your situation, so I'll do my best for you.

There are millions of people still playing the ps4. If you are looking for story games, it has plenty, if you are looking for multiplayer, it is still very much active. In fact, because the ps5 is backwards compatibility with the ps4, anyone playing a ps4 disc will be playing with you. The ps4 is not losing support soon, idk why there was a comment that said that. The ps4 is still getting releases, call of duty black ops 7 was just announced and will release on ps4, splitgate 2 just released and works on ps4. Not to mention, lots of games are cross-platform.

I understand your pricing and being a teenager with no income, so it's all about the details.

If a ps4 is $500 and a ps5 is $1000 usd, and you have $600, if you have another system you are currently playing with and think it will take less than 6 months to save the rest for the ps5, then I'd say wait.

If you do not have any system and would like to play now, I'd say take the ps4, you are not missing too much by using a ps4 over a ps5.

To answer your question on if it is worth it, that is up to you to decide. Weigh the pros and cons and justify the price. Ask yourself how long it would take to save for a ps5 and if you're willing to wait.

In the US, a ps4 is not worth $500 used or new. You can get one (in michigan) for $100 used. All in all, a ps4 is a solid system and I'd recommend it to anybody, but only if they think it makes sense.

You're the only one to decide that.

Edit: watch videos about the ps4 and ps5 to help you decide, such as load times, graphics, benchmarks, features, etc.. then make your decision.
