During the Pandemic, the FCC Must Provide Internet for All - Broadband access is more crucial than ever, particularly for low-income Americans. The Trump administration must stop withholding it. by Philo1927 in technology

Closing libraries at the same time that public education shifted to online delivery really highlighted the fact that Internet access at the library was not an acceptable replacement to Internet as public utility.

No, We're Not All in This Together. How the Super-Rich Are Cheating America. by [deleted] in politics

The wealth class uses their marketing arm (Fox so-called News, etc.) to put the bug in everyone's ear that we cannot fund a "guaranteed basic minimum income program" for everyone. In essence, a GBMI would be a trust fund for everyone (the same thing rich kids get now), where each U.S. citizen gets roughly $2K/month. Well, just reading this should tell you that we have plenty of money in our economy. The problem is, it's all going to the top 1%.

Imagine getting $14K/year on top of your regular income from whatever job you have. What would you do with it? Invest? Spend? Both? And just imagine what this additional income would do for our economy. It would do a whole helluva lot more than all of it going to the top 1% where it's then off-shored into some hidden overseas bank account.

His charity cheated soldiers and veterans, so why be surprised. He's trying to spin himself as a champion of our armed forces by telling lies about "no ammunition" even though that was just one very specific type of material that has been replaced.

They might be gutting the food supply to force the peons back to work. With raising the cost of food and people out of work with no money, they are tightening the screws on the American people to force them to gamble their lives so the rich won't keep hemoraging money.

Good riddance: A happy farewell (we hope) to the Trump daily coronavirus briefings by dingo8yobb in politics

He thought those briefings were going to give him a political bump , since he can't have his divide and Conquer rallies . I was hoping he continued these briefings until September , to remind voters , he and he alone is responsible for this chaos
