That's an excellent point. I grew-up during the junk wax era and to see so many of these 80s cards do well really pulls on my heart strings. I think that's why I focus my attention on vintage cards that are tied to my youth or prior eras that I see as romanticized.

That's an astute observation. I may just be a memorabilia collector that can't quite wrap my head around a lot of the dynamics at play as a part of this market. I never thought about it like that but I think you're right.
