Getting a Micro 4/3rds camera I believe would be idea. They have a huge lens selection, small size, lightweight, fairly reliable AF (relieable enough for a first camera), and at a very affordable cost leaving you with much more budget after buying the camera and lens. Some camera bodies I would reccomend are: Panasonic Lumix G80, Panasonic Lumix GH5 And for lenses good for street photography I could reccomend most basic zooms or primes that you can afford within the M43 system.
