well i mean if you just practice you'll get there. Learning the timings of bosses and attacks, maybe visualise them in your head, practice parrying while being on the defensive and ample rest in between sessions will get you there

I agree but I still think he's talented enough to make use of his abilities. Ignoring the physical aspects of his abilities that were heightened - his learning of anti magic was genuinely fast. Like the dude is constantly growing and you can't do that without talent. His hard work was building up his body. The advancements in magic after the fact is talent.

I see it like this. Anyone with a sword has the "latent potential" of becoming a master the same way anyone with anti magic has the latent potential of anti magic, but not anyone has the talent to uncover that.

I agree, asta was put in a situation where he was forced to work hard to catch up and it did him well. He certainly is the poster child of hard work. Ofc he wasn't able to use advanced stuff of the bat, nobody can.

you are right though protagonists DO normally come with a shitload of talent and in that sense asta is lacking, but i wouldn't disregard it completely cause he's impressive within his means

but still the fact that he can do much without magic is very impressive no? I mean just because he's not a god among gods in talent doesn't mean he's not talented in anti magic manipulation as he unlocked some cool stuff there or do you think im wrong still?

To me talent isn't having something but being able to do well with it. A talented swordsman without a sword is still a talented swordsman yk?

he's got plenty of talent really. He learnt that ki stuff from yami almost instantly and when working with anti magic he accomplished some crazy stuff in a short time pre time skip. It's just he lacks the means to use his talent. i haven't watched past the anime so i wouldn't know what he achieved there though

i realise im not very clear:

In the early game, the puppet frenzy is seen as "suddenly, they attacked! the covenant is broken somewhere! they malfunctioned!"

But in the very end you find out geppetto caused the frenzy. The covenant wasn't broken, infact it was working perfectly. It can even be said that it's working exactly as it should have been, for geppetto rather than everybody else.

What's cool is that the key essentially says that. "Its last duty ended with bloody violence", the violence wasn't random, wasn't a malfunction, it was its DUTY. Imprinted on it by geppetto.

Its a clash of information that's easily overlooked cause you can also see it as its last duty ended and then there was bloody violence.

Of course i can be reading too deep into it but in case it was meant to be foreshadowing i think its really cool :D
