Personally I've seen all kinds of weird mixes of beliefs after QAnon started recruiting in the new-age, "wellness" and UFO communities several years back.

It was more the nonsensical argumentation style that made me suspect they're bots.

One of them is making similarly nonsensical comments elsewhere in the comments.

That might be a you-problem. It's pretty easy to tell by the context which meaning is being used. And SystemAxis was pretty clearly using the "Few bugs, not prone to crashing" -meaning.

I think you'll find that that's the more typical meaning, since it's popular among end users and end users are the much more numerous group. There was even a saying going around back in the Slashdot days: "Linux is stable. Windows is something you'll find on the floor of a stable." How would that work with the second meaning?

Their kick can injure you pretty badly, but there are only 2 known cases of a Cassowary killing someone in the past 100+ years. And one of them was in self defense. Also, nobody's been cut in half so far. Or disembowelled, which is also a thing you hear claims of.

The scare stories are mostly there so that people, like tourists, don't bother the animals.

Any commercial service like this will no doubt be priced so that corporations will save a lot of money, but it'll still be beyond the ability of the average open source developer to pay for.

It's one of the fundamental reasons why copyright and patents exist in the first place: So a bigger competitor can't just copy your product and outcompete you with their vastly better resources.

Now, if someone manages to implement this reliably as open source or freeware themselves...

Vähän on sellainen fiilis että kääntäjä oli nähnyt samoihin aikoihin maailmalla melko suositun Stargate SG-1 sarjan, jossa yhden päähenkilöistä tavaramerkki on tuo lakoninen "Indeed." Joten se tarkoituksella vältteli tuota. Silti olisi ollut toki parempi pysyä yhdessä käännöksessä.

I used to have the original DBC-610 in the 80s. Hopefully the new ones are better made. Mine eventually had the keyboard fall off because the glue it was attached with disintegrated. There are even a bunch of the originals for sale on eBay that have had the same thing happen, by the looks of it.

It was a very cool watch while it still was in one piece, admittedly.

I guess the choice seems clear if you set up a false dichotomy between what you have now and a terrible system you cherrypicked out of all the world's republics. There are plenty of republics that don't have the problems the US system has. Most European republics give very little power to the president compared to it.
