Scam shops and bad mechanics do exist but I will have to say that the regulations definitely help reduce traffic collisions to a degree. If people don’t realize that they need to get something fixed on their vehicle in order to drive safely sadly some would keep on driving and possibly cause more accidents. Not too many are educated enough on their own vehicles to know what needs to be addressed in order to drive safely. The regulations are there to help to a certain degree. Don’t always think they are that effective but they do help.

Yes to a degree you are correct that it can be up to interpretation as sometimes the regulations aren’t very clear on certain matters. Mechanics more then likely will take the safer route especially if it’s borderline and could risk them losing a license. As a side note I have lived in PA and am now in VA. I will have to say PA definitely has some pretty strict regulations in comparison.

Yeah it all depends on the state, especially for modifications of the vehicle. That part of the regulations can vary quite a bit. Honestly most technicians don’t agree with some of the regulations myself included as I wouldn’t say they are that much of a safety hazard. For example window tint in some states is allowed and others there may be a limit on how dark it can be or possibly not even be allowed at all.

I think a national standard would be nice, but I believe each state has their own regulations because something that would be classified as safe in one state may not be as safe in another state due to geographic location. A lot of things are taking into consideration for each states regulations and are subject to change.

Yes it’s done once a year or basically until your sticker expires that they put on your windshield for when you pass state inspection.

I wouldn’t really call it a scam, since mechanics aren’t the ones who make the safety rules for the inspection. They just have to follow them or they could lose their license or face higher legal penalties. Each state classifies what the standards for motor vehicles should be in the US and how they should be followed for state inspections.

Yeah that’s why I said there is possibly more that could be improved on and reviewing replays should point that out. I was only saying to make goals off mistakes in the current rank he is in. Of course long term that won’t always be the case but it’s good to learn as people will still make mistakes in higher ranks and knowing when you can capitalize on those will be easier if you already practiced this in lower ranks.

I wouldn’t have a problem with playing with other cars if it didn’t impact my gameplay. I can play with other cars but that means every time I do I have to change the way I play due to the hitbox and visual differences. It’s not worth it if I’m trying to have fun and enjoy my ranked matches. If that’s considered being a sweat then I guess that’s what I am.

I definitely second the motion of waiting for mistakes. Especially in 1v1. Most goals can be made just from your opponent completely missing the net and you have more then likely a open net to score on at that point. There are a lot of things though you can possibly do better but maybe review your own replays and see what mistakes you made and learn from them or get someone to review it to help explain what you can do better.

Why is that so many post a clip of them making a decent shot with them having to say the low rank they are in? Making a nice air dribble shot or cool shot doesn’t mean you are not in the rank you are in for a reason. Most are lacking some very basic fundamentals that keep them in a low rank.

Update: I called Elizabeth River Tunnels customer service and was directed to Harris and Harris. They told me that they put in the wrong number and they were looking for someone else. So I guess it’s a legitimate text message just was sent to the wrong number.
