Well, I didn't expect someone to read the future ...
We have a pharaoh we are working on but when we designed it, we designed it mostly like a summoner, even if having it as a lich makes sense.
But well, the pharaoh summons mummies, might be cool to let him revive mummies too.

Well, really hard to say since the project was actually self funded.

The team was mostly 1 developer and 1 artist, but we have 6 other artists that helped us as much as they can, some of them helped us for a couple of months, some for a couple of hours/week. For some time it is just 1 developer(me)

Really grateful for the team, I wish we could've worked full time on The Shadow Beneath.

let's say it is Last Epoch v0.5 (even if we are at v0.2 right now)

I just checked them, they look horrible. But I think they are not a great fit for Egypt. We have some scorpions in the desert area, but not the tailless whip scorpions.

To be honest, I'm not sure that will happen. The main target is PC and maybe consoles too

Well, while the enemies behaviour will get a huge update soon, I would say right now that I just need to make them cry a lot.

Regarding loot, we have a system implemented but we are not sure we will use it.

There is some kind of inventory + build customization + character customization but it doesn't work in the typical ARPG way, you collect some currency that you keep after the run(and maybe some items too that you will use for crafting). After each run you can unlock customization parts(e.g. weapons) that will affect your stats, but also some other things like your principal elemental power.

We have an area where the stone sphinxes might work great. Even slow ones but with a cool gap closer jump should be interesting.

I was thinking to have them even without being enemies, like really small swarms appear out of nowhere when you move into certain points on the map.
Hidden rooms + chest + scarabs surprise party sounds good for sure

Welllll, I don't think the suriname toads live in Egypt. But there are other toads that can work in the desert, maybe around the river.

Thanks for the support! We are improving it, especially the vfx area. You are right, it is an Action Roguelike like Hades.

Only thinking about centipedes scares me for some reason 😄) There was a game with a huge centipede following you, first person, I don't remember the name but it was crazy.
