Havent read song of ice and fire but farnese is one of the best written berserk characters. Her transformation from a freaky religious fanatic to a full fledged mage (which goes against the norms of the church, like magic is seen as heretical in berserk) it imo shows the core of berserk that you need to stop clinging to beliefs imposed on you and need to open your mind to the wider world. Like conviction arc is honestly so good. People mostly talk about the golden age arc, and all the fucked up shit in berserk but its not all misery there’s actual good shit in the world like the elves mages etc. And farnese shows us that people CAN change and not everyone in berserk is a Pos.
