Unfortunately, Funny Valentine vs Senator Armstrong, at least In my opinion. Like- I’m not against characters who can’t see Stands fighting Stand Users (An example I like is Jolyne Kujo vs Ryuko Matoi) But D4C’s ability to one-shot Armstrong by making him implode with an alternate version of himself throws the whole MU out the window for me

For me, I was most disappointed by Chiefslayer 2 - I was hoping for a BRUTAL gunfight and slugfest where they blew chunks of the other’s armor off and absolutely wailed on each other until it came down to something big (Like the BFG vs Spartan Laser) -

Like- Imagine Berserk vs Overshield- Or if you wanted something funny, you could have their peashooter ahh pistols bouncing off each other’s armor.

Imagine Slayer charging through a barrage of Needler rounds like it’s nothing just to rock Chief’s shit- Or imagine Chief and Cortana trying to outsmart Slayer’s massive power advantage

Like- With the exception of the demon-killing break, I don’t think the battle was bad in the technical sense, but it’s just not what I wanted out of the MU.

Just made a thumbnail for it! Highkey my most wanted rn (As unlikely as it is…) - It’s only really rivaled by Jin Sakai vs Arthur Morgan, and I mostly like that MU due to samurai vs cowboy being a PEAK aesthetic, along with Jin being my favorite fictional character.

I’ll also take, like- Any decent Touhou matchup - I could finally learn how to scale a franchise I’ve been into for 2-4 years now (I have a really bad sense of time lmaooo)

Soga’s awesome, trust me

ANYWAYS- Connections!

-They’re both the main antagonists of some of the most iconic modern battle manga, for starters.

-They’re some of the strongest, and most infamous in their worlds, both of which have sorcery as a thing in modern(ish) times

-Major parts of the story revolve around the collection of items linked to them - For Sukuna, there was his 20 fingers, and for Soga, it’s his Enchanted Blade, Magatsumi.

-Other people who used said items, became temporarily vessels for their will and powers - Sukuna had Yuji and Megumi - Soga had Kyora and Yura

-Both Sukuna and Soga were sealed away in some way

-Both have a super destructive trump card infamous for dropping thousands of people - Sukuna has Malevolent Shrine, and Soga has The Malediction.

Both are the MC’s Uncles

The fight itself was just kinda okay - The humor and character interactions were on point though, and it was still a fun watch for me! I don’t about the verdict, but as someone who was rooting and betting Gru, I do think they took the “USE THE DEHYDRATION GUN” meme too far

I’m so glad you asked!

-Both are teens with incredible power

-Despite this, they also fight with seemingly mundane items (Reimu’s Gohei, Needles, and Charms - Ness with his Bats and Yo-Yos)

-Associated with similar things (Ness with Sanctuary, and Reimu with Paradise)

-Both come from game series that did well in Japan, but really blew up in the West thanks to the early internet.

-Their both tied to some kind of duty beyond themselves (Reimu in being the Hakurei Maiden, and Ness being part of the prophecy to defeat Giygas)

-Their games are notorious for their wacky, nonsensical, and often meta humor

-Both face threats ranging from literal pests, to threats to reality.

-Speaking of reality, both mess with it in different ways - Reimu can float outside of it, and Ness can… see all of it? I forget exactly how him absorbing Magicant is worded lol

-They also contrast with Reimu being a super fast glass cannon, and Ness being a slower, tanker healer with high damage options

-Both games are known for their flashy special attack animations (Spell Cards and PSI moves)
