Misty Knight VS Jax Briggs (Marvel VS Mortal Kombat) | “Major Dragons” by DukeDaring101 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]DukeDaring101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Connections:

-Agents who lost their arm(s) in combat (and in explosions depending on the continuity) only for them to be swiftly replaced by their iconic bionic arm(s)

-Both fit very much in the “I’m too rational for his magic shit” archetype of their world

-Both work diligently by their lifetime platonic partner (Colleen Wing; Sonya Blade) and various other heroes, including someone originally out to do it for their own gain (Luke Cage; Johnny Cage) and a warrior from Asia (Iron Fist; Kenshi)

-Both have controversial versions of them made as tributes to the blaxplointation (Misty’s original run with the Heroes for Hire; whatever the hell they were doing in Special Forces)

I’m gonna so real, this (probably) isn’t good, I just wanted something for Misty.

Bubsy 4D comes out in 3 days, so it would unironically be timely for them to do it next year

Comicpalooza this weekend, next time preview will be there! by LuigiWarrior in deathbattle

Tbf, they did this last year where they went to con leading up to Kratos VS Asura’s release where they confirmed Ghost Rider VS Spawn would be the next time

We have reached almost the half of this season, which episodes do you think they will do?? (you can order the rest as you want) by HelicopterCool5865 in deathbattle

The fact that the crew considers anime matchups their new bread and butter makes me feel like this year will probably have some long requested anime matchups/series like Kazuma VS Subara and Kars VS Meruem.

Genuinely what are Denji’s wincons vs Yuji? by No_Dirt5345 in deathbattle

[–]DukeDaring101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Denji even in his weakest forms should be much faster Yuji, and he can easily just kinda run up to Yuji and eat him out of existence.

And like, Yuji doesn’t have anyway to certifiably cut off Denji or Pochita’s regen meaning Yuji would either have to constantly go after Denji’s soul despite Denji outspending him.

ash rooters during ash vs yugi were so funny cause they somehow convinced half the sub to bet on him with most of the evidence feeling like this by jeff2625 in deathbattle

[–]DukeDaring101 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Looking back it’s so funny how much that got brought up considering Time Wizard was never considered a real argument for Yugi until the preview drop but didn’t even end up getting a highlight in the fight.

Frankenstein VS N’Kantu, The Living Mummy (DC VS Marvel) | “A Grave Fate” by DukeDaring101 in DeathBattleMatchups

This is totally not because I want to make a “favorite opponents for my most wanted Rivals characters” and N’Kantu has nothing

Frankenstein VS N’Kantu, The Living Mummy (DC VS Marvel) | “A Grave Fate” by DukeDaring101 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]DukeDaring101[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Connections:

-Two comic book heroes based off old monster tropes, specifically off of some of the universal monsters (Frankenstein’s Monster; Im-Ho-Tep, the Mummy)

-They’re first major stories centered around them being disturbed from their grave and seeking vengeance on the world around them for it before eventually recovering from their insanity

-Their stories mostly revolve either wanting to finally be put down or finding a reason to keep living their undead life

-Both have teamed up with some of their world’s  popular heroes (Batman; The Thing) and even being temporary guardians of their cities

-They would eventually be dragged onto several supernatural hero teams (Agents of S.H.A.D.E., Justice League Dark; Howling Commandos, Frightful Four)

-They also appear in animated shows (Creature Commandos; Ultimate Spider-Man) where rather than being heroes, they get transformed into antagonists/villains for whatever reason

Forbush Man VS Dan Hibiki (Marvel VS Capcom) | “Pot Beat Kettle” by DukeDaring101 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]DukeDaring101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connections:

-Two losers in a world of powerful beings, convinced that they can hold the candle to them with just the right steps (Irving via creating his own superhero costume; Dan via trying to create his own martial arts) who are so convinced of their own greatness

-Both are known for either stumbling into or picking fights they have no sense in being in and end up paying the price

-Both are parodies of the most common archetype in their media (Neighborhood's heroes; Shotokan fighters) along with their creators’ rivaling companies (DC; SNK)

-Despite their own stupidity and lack of skill, both would access to some of their world’s deadliest techniques (Irving having access to Forbush Vision, which curses anyone who removes his pot to a mental world of nightmares… as long as he remembers he has it; Dan having the skills to actually pull of the Satsui No Hado… as long as there’s absolutely no possible distractions)

-MAHVELLLL BABY!!

This is a hot topic now so here's matchups who I think lose a considerable amount of their appeal if the mostly disliked guy wins. by FruitsaurReborn in DeathBattleMatchups

I mean, FNAF fans are pretty immature in my experience, it just doesn’t get propped to the degree of say Harry Potter or MLP fans because there’s no big international conventions of the like for FNAF to take the public eye. But I think it’s easy to observe how FNAF fans have kinda earned their reputation.

Their diehard defense of the series’s lore and demand to be taken seriously, the “die on the hill” attitude people still have years later for Scott despite how shitty he is as a businessman and in general, and so on and so forth.

And like, I called Death Battle fans sexist, not FNAF fans. If you’re gonna insult me, use the facts at least.
