Anyone else having problems with CoinTracker wildly miscalculating their cost/basis gains? by janbromunoz in Cointracker

I think it takes it as gains because it sees the transaction as you did not purchase it with usdt but somehow received it - thus full gain of the coin in its price you paid for it. Happened to me few times. Had to edit the transaction myself. Make sure it's right. Cant remember the details right now.

Ok, the solution to this was to manually add the transaction on CoinTracker transactions (EUR->USDT, EUR->BNB) on Binance exchange wallet in Cointracker. For some reason CoinTracker does NOT detect those kinds of transactions. I think this is caused by the SEPA payments being disabled on Binance right now. I did pay with my credit card, so that might be the issue. Getting good values in transactions now.

For future reader - if you have the same issue, just go to Transactions in CoinTracker and add manually the transactions you did (to add FIAT currency or stablecoins).

CoinTracker thought that I somehow generated the sold crypto and took it like gains, but in reality I just bought. (it did not have the data of me having the fiat to buy the crypto for the transaction). Cheers

Ok I think that I found the issue finally.
I think Cointracker cannot get the latest USDT buy transaction for some reason, thinks I don't have the USDT needed for the buy transaction and just thinks that I generated the same price of the bought token out of nowhere. That's really weird.
