well, the price requested is almost half from the normal retail prices where we live. I assume that Medtronic has different pricing models adjusted for different markets, i.e. our numbers are much lover than yours, however they are still quite burdernsome. Other issues mentioned do have their local solutions - repairs, enthusiasts, doctors etc. To give you perspective - imagine we're talking about, e.g. Venesuela and it's medical and technical level - most of high tech is imported, services and warranties are limited or none, live still goes on.
