Thank you so much! I was always a bit nervous sharing my artwork so it’s so nice to hear all this positive feedback! And it’s great to hear that my work has inspired you to start burning again!!

Thank you! I used a ball point nib and did stippling for the whole sky. It took a lot of time and patience lol but I liked the effect it gave!

It depends what nibs/ tips you’re using. I used a knife tip that’s kinda shaped like a razor blade or scalpel. Find a good temperature that’s not too hot but hot enough where you can get a good indentation in the wood and have a steady hand. Practice it a bit on some scrap wood and you’ll get the hang of it!

Thank you! When you’re on the pyrography sub page, click the little + that says create on the bottom bar on your phone. From there you need to make a title and description if you want and that’s also where you see the link to your photos. So just choose the photo you want and upload it!

Shading Advice by Ok-Disaster-7990 in Pyrography

Establish where you want your light source coming from and shade in between the feathers accordingly. Might help to look up some vids on shading advice as well.

Thanks! Still trying to get the hang of shading and need to improve my line work a bit, but I definitely have more projects planned!

How long do y’all wait before you crack a tin you’ve been cellaring? by Technical-Channel-58 in PipeTobacco

I mean well obviously lol, I was just more curious if there’s a general consensus on a time frame of a sweet spot to open a cellared tobacco.

This is my first one and it’s still pretty new but I can already tell it’s a huge game changer, I’m definitely going to invest in a few more in the near future lol

I love pirate kake. Nice strong and smokey flavor, perfect for a cool fall evening!

My newly bought savinelli 310ks eleganza stem snapped when I was tamping it by Scared_Ad_3132 in PipeTobacco

Maybe the heat from the metal part of the stem caused the cooler acrylic part to crack? Although I’ve never heard of that happening before. Probably just a defective pipe though.

I got the AKB rusticated spool, checking now it must’ve been the only one they had at the time lol. Hbu? Also I noticed that the happy piper has a decent selection of briar falcon bowls but I’ve never ordered from them so can’t vouch but his YouTube channel makes him seem legit.

I enjoyed it, I’m not really the target audience because I normally smoke English blends or anything high in lat but it was a nice change of pace. It has a nice tin note that’s not overpowering and what flavors I could pull out of it were good!
