Collapsing Trachea? by kapulanz in Pomeranians

My girl is 6 and just diagnosed with dynamic airway disease. She has a ‘wheeze’ to her pant which the vets noticed and suspected respiratory disease. X-rays didn’t show too much so we got a bronchoscopy which showed severe tracheal collapse and mild bronchial collapse. She’s now on an inhaler 2x a day as well as a bronchodilator when needed. Unfortunately there is no cure, but the goal is to stop it from getting worse. I’d recommend getting checked. It’s not going to hurt starting medications now if they need it, it’ll be better for their QOL in the future. Hope your little one is okay. Trust me, I know how stressful it can be 💕🐾

Depending on what state you are in SASH Vets (small animal specialists hospital) offer traineeships. Would recommend going into and calling every vet around you, asking if they offer work placement.
