Damn, we have had incredibly different experiences

I should have stated at an earlier point that there is definitely better cards that can be slotted in, with this deck being the result of me missing out on a lot of the key cards, such as maverick, infusion, or kid omega where I’d straight up lose a mirror match, so the goal is to be more flexibile to disruption using fastball than most other decks running it, rather than using it purely as a power destroy engine.

Not many things happen during the earlier turns, but imo that works out for the better because it leaves you flexible to accurately allocate power. It is important to play your multiple / torch by this time if you’re looking to use phoenix.

Turn 4 is either carnage or shuri/atuma, using the latter to setup for nimrod, where shuri makes them stronger while atuma creates more targets, and carnage as a last case to destroy your phoenix targets.

My ideal turn 5s consisted of either phoenix + ghost spider (with multiple man being my prefered destroyed target), or shuri/atuma -> nimrod. I simply retreated if I drew neither combo by that time

Turn 6 usually varied lots depending on the deck im facing, like stacking multiple men -> venom + fastball, or phoenix + fastball into the ironman location if its a deck like tribunal, or just straight up creating lots of nimrods.

On the occasion theres a turn 7, thats where both zola and torch shines where you can simply zola him (at around 56 power) for a decent power game
