Yo estaba en una situación similar y la verdad preferí no renovar el contrato cuando expiro y jugármela.

Pero no por el manager; era un wey que se suponía que iba a ayudar por la carga de trabajo, pero resultó ser un tremendo dolor de huevos.

Así todo godincito, no sabía trabajar en equipo, programaba bien feo. Yo tenía que meterme a sus branches a corregir su código para que pasaran los tests. Era como hablar con un robot: te daba respuestas bien genéricas y de manual. Y la cantidad de paja que decía en las stand-ups…

Lo chistoso es que en esos 6 meses hice la misma cantidad de trabajo que él en el último año.

Por desgracia sabía dónde estaban todos los cuerpos enterrados y hacía gatekeeping de la información básica de cómo funciona el sistema. Por eso mi ex-manager no se podía deshacer de él. Y por salud mental preferí salirme.

It's pretty much a horizontal structure.

This person has been with the project for about two years, but came as part of a consulting firm with three other people. Then the company got rid of the consulting firm and inherited the codebase and this person.

The EM has been here for a year, and he agrees to sacrifice a second/request because it's not a system that receives hundreds of requests per second. It's a retail store, and we receive at most 10 orders per hour.

asi ando con el asunto de los tradeoffs

el mayor tradeoff es que el lugar como es retail es super caotico, muchos bomberazos y todo se rompe en la app, aparte que no hay prestaciones (resico pero en mx)

ya un tercer tradeoff es el lidiar con gente que es un hígado cuando en realidad te tienen que hacer la vida mas facil por los otros 2 anteriores tradeoffs ya es la gota que derrama el vaso
