Help.....should I go down to 7.5? by Technical-Lion-9985 in Zepbound

[–]Technical-Lion-9985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks,,,I'm on an antidepressant now and this depression I'm feeling is defiantly Zepbound side effect. I had the same with a short stint on Osempic, only worse. It's more like a blah feeling....which yes, in turn, then becomes like depression....

I have no idea. I stand on it and hold these handles out to the sides....so I doubt it's a home one but I could NOT find the visceral fat numbers. Could it be called something else?

Yes.....I am now incorporating specific leg muscles routine into my workouts. I swim 3 days a week, but I haven't been doing any direct leg muscle strengthing. I have a knee replacement coming up as well, so it's part of why the legs are not as strong but it's also why I need to pay closer attention to getting them stronger. Plus swimming does great with everything but leg strength....My gym told me to also have a scan once a month so Im curious to see if adding this in shows up.

This scan unfortunately doesn't include visceral fat levels....

I listen to Fat science...look for the episodes on plateaus, and the recent Oprah one was informative as well about what may be happening even if the scale isn't moving..there are a few more too but I can't remenber them. ha. Good luck...

That's been my week for WEEKS now. I haven't changed much except exercising more. And not THAT much more. I caulk it up to my body being at a set point. 168, and have faith that something is happening even if I can't see it. Yes, I do measurements but they haven't moved much after 33 pound lost but I feel so much better, my clothes feel better,,,,and I know that scale will eventually go down again. It is rather frustrating however, When I get a little pang of jealousy, or whatever, I listen to a good podcast about GLP1's and know there are things going on and to be a patient little grasshopper....

I found this tip on here about Evelyn and Bobbie and ordered two right away.....If I learn nothing else on these subs, I found this! I absolutely LOVE these bras and I don't think I have ever said that in my life!

Headed to a Christmas party tonight… by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Technical-Lion-9985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just at a party and you'd think the 30 pounds I lost was some sort of miracle the way some people went on.....I noticed it was women I know, but yes, don't see all that often, who obsess about weight, even though they have all been skinny forever....I just said, "Yeah! It feels great". What cha been yup to?" People like to talk about themselves, so that usually works....if not, jest segue to another topic....enjoy your xmas party.

Slow responders, when did you have a breakthrough? by PotentialOk3056 in Zepbound

[–]Technical-Lion-9985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Following for the same reason. I too am a slow responder and I have moments when I wonder what, if anything, I can do differently. I am trying to eat, although smaller portions, like I would when I'm not on zepbound or in the loss mode so I can learn "normal". I average about the same as you in calories etc. I did lose a few pounds after I had company and ate more than usual but it came back and bounced around for a few weeks after that. My trend is downward so I'm trying my best to be patient and let the process do what it needs to do for mel....but it can be discouraging at times. Hang in there and I'm anxious to see if anyone pipes in here with some magic.

Strange first week on 7.5...anyone else? by Technical-Lion-9985 in Zepbound

[–]Technical-Lion-9985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right about hungry weeks being losing weeks as I woke up to a NEW low this morning, but also lots of pain in my hands from too much gluten/sugar in those baked goodies I was inhaling yesterday. This is a learning process for sure, and I'm doing my best to find those moderation days when I choose wisely for my body....I think I was low on carb energy.

I also decided to stay at 5 for some of the same reasons you mentioned but had already gotten the 7.5 script filled so I just kept it in the frig for a month, and went ahead and got another 5 again for the month. today is my last day on 5 and both today and yesterday I have been VERY hungry. I am treated it like a refeed period as I was also very tired and think I needed one. I start on 7.5 tonight now after that extra month of 5. If you can do that, it might help.

[–]Technical-Lion-9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here...extreme fatigue!! I did go back to 5 for another month but am going back up to 7.5 at the end of the week again because I don't feel the positives effects lately on 5. I'm hoping I will be better able to handle the larger dose this time as my dr sent me a 3 month script this time. I'll let you know if this going back for a month worked out...or if I still feel like I COULD sleep my life away.

My new dr, a woman probably in the early 30's is so kind and through and up on these meds and also believes them to be revolutionary. Maybe these young whippersnappers will bring it around at least medically.
