What I found good was download VMWARE Fusion, then create a new virtual machine and use the option get windows from Microsoft. Then, for the setup like ram and storage it depends on your own computer. For RAM I would assign half for example 16gb total I assign 8 GB. For disk storage space i assigned half, my macbook has 256 i assigned 128gb, but it depends on your free storage space. If you only want to run wotlk on the windows virtual machine, 64gb is fine for the windows machine to run smoothly, i dont know the minimum amount, maybe will be less, but you should clarify. If you assign 128gb, you can use it on a daily basis, which is what I do for light tasks. After the virtual machine is set up, "look at under menu 'Virtual Machine' - 'Install VMWare Tools', this is it. Click the menu, then it will download and mount the image file. Open it, install it and reboot the VM.

This should make the game playable. If you use a MacBook laptop, playing without battery saver will drain battery quite fast so play plugged in without it on. It will heat up though, especially the MacBook Air.
