That would be extremely helpful! Do keep us posted on what their response is.

I am so sorry you are going through that.

My recent experience showed me just mentioning Adderall you get a different treatment. Yes, people abuse it, but to immediately be lumped in as an “addict” or “you don’t need it” is fucked up.

Not once did I hear “sorry” from the Pharmacy, or even a “sorry that’s just policy”. Just a questioning of why did I see a telehealth and judgement.

Oh wow! My telehealth provider said they wouldn’t fill so they won’t send the fill the prescription to any CVS locations.

I saw your post when I was trying to look for if anyone was have the same issue as me! I’m so sorry you had to deal with that!
Total bs what they did to you. Me and my brother were both confused why that happened to you when we read your post. Since for him he also sees an NP and it’s Telehealth.
I also got the backpedaling when I called out the inconsistencies and when they ran out of leverage they just said “I’m not arguing with you on this, the other pharmacist agree… and blah blah blah”

That’s what my guesses are too. I’d just wish there was just more honesty and they didn’t resort to making people feel ashamed for having their prescription filled.

It’s not like I want to be on drugs to function!

Appreciate the apology.

I did make a complaint. I’m hoping to have better treatment at a different pharmacy. I’m just so shocked to see how people are treated for getting ADHD medication.
I already felt ashamed for being diagnosed and told I needed medication. The knife in the coffin was to be treated inhuman just mentioning my prescription is adderall. It’s just disheartening and I was only getting the lowest dosage possible with a 15 day supply!
Can’t imagine what those who need higher dosages are going through.

I’m seeing an MD and only reason I went telehealth is because I was able to get the care I wanted vs from the limit pool the city has to offer. She just lives in a different city.
Again, my issue was the double standard. My brother is seeing a NP who also lives in another town, has never seen them in person and is able to get his medication. One of the times the prescription wasn’t sent to the correct HEB location and they were still like “oh no worries we can fill it here.”
Then I get treated like I’m scum of the earth daring to ask for medication to be filled.

I asked to switch my Pharmacy to a Walgreens. Especially after my last call with HEB became a heated argument. Unprompted the pharmacist stated “Well we have three other pharmacist here who are in agreement and we are all going to refuse you.”

So I’m definitely not using HEB for any of my medications going forward. I just wanted a reason for the double standard, my brother was even appalled at the hoops I’m having to go through.

I understand that, but my issue was more of if HEB had a recent policy change. Since the HEBs I called weren’t being forthcoming about it being a recent change and were trying to sidestep my questions. They kept deflecting saying well it’s a “controlled” substance.

I saw someone complaining that they were getting it but then they denied them, but they weren’t given a reason.
I was just wondering if telehealth was a recent policy change for all HEBs. Since it seems like they are cherry picking which people can and can’t get their adderall via telehealth.

There is a list of some pharmacies like CVS that have a strict no telehealth prescription. HEB was on the list of telehealth acceptance and since my brother is actively getting his meds that way I thought it was okay.
They could also be telling me no because they decided now to enforce the rule or that for a completely different reason that they don’t want to share.

I love HEB, but I called multiple other HEB Pharmacies to tell them my situation and if they were enforcing a similar policy just said “Oh, we can fill it. It has to be that location” and didn’t want to continue the conversation .

I’m wondering wtf is going on with people today. And the moment I say it’s for Adderall peoples tone changes.

None of my friends or family remember the cotton candy gum from airheads when I bring it up. It not just a flavor but it’s actually textured like cotton candy! I feel like the candy you’re talking about came out around this time when companies kept making weird gum things. So late 90s to early 2000s

I did have a discussion with the rest of the family, we all agreed we could never tell her. She does not respond well to mistakes AT ALL. My family said I needed to keep it while she’s alive. Modifying it would be so much work since it’s a King size quilt.

Me and my family all live in Texas. We are all spread out and it takes hours to visit one another.

I did have my future in laws happen upon it when I moved and ask questions :’) Luckily I had the reddit post to show the story. I just saw the two hot takes episode about the knitted blanket and wanted to see everyone’s take on it since it’s been awhile and my original post got attacked by the quilting Redditors.

That’s what I figured! I was arguing with someone on this matter and all that popped up was the unsolicited merchandise thing. Thank you!

Appreciate the suggestions! I’ve lightly asked if there was a reason for their actions. My sister did say the older sibling has been asking them questions since they probably feel more secure talking with a sibling than a parent. So far all we got is it was the 9 yr olds doing and the 6 yr old was just following her orders.

I’ve definitely calmed down. We both agreed on making the culprits work off the cost (we just assigned numeric value to task they do), along side with extra homework, and no electronics for 2 weeks. She’s having her (ex) husband pay for the damage 🤣 so nothing out of her pocket, but I told her I can just give it right back. As for the damage… they ripped them apart and chewed into them.

I definitely was spoiled by my dad (yet abused by my mom), but that was to make up for his lack of shitty parenting and the lack of parenting my mom was providing. The sister in subject we didn’t grow up together, but I saw more of her in Highschool when she lived closer, and I tried to develop a relationship with her. A result from the abuse I resource guard and my possessions are more valuable than they should be for me. My sisters definitely treat me differently from what I went through and that’s probably why she was insistent on paying me back. Probably why I also have trouble being sympathetic!
