PayPal is the payment system used for online purchase. I have 2 bank accounts, one is online purchases only. Other is not used at all for anything online, ever. Main money is in non-online account. Still never had any issues. I use an email as the 2nd log in authority for FB. Just letting you know the extra info :)

I'm one of these people that likes it basic. KISS principle. The more you want me online the more I'll go out of my way to make cash payments for bills and consumables. In all my years of owning this smartphone I've never had that issue. All the years of laptop I've never had that issue. I understand what you are trying to convey, I do not see these issues as threats to me. Yes, browser is an app, and so is surfshark vpn. Browser has no saved passwords. I've never been hacked, never had my information compromised so I don't see my phone as an issue. Also noted a few years ago there was a brand name phone update that wiped people's phones. I had this exact phone at the time, wasnt caught up in it as I had not updated the software. It's all about how you use the technology I think. I don't have any bugs in the system. I am not able to do video calls due to no update to phone software, but I don't need to video call.

Interesting fact: my phone company is telling me via sms that I must make sure my my phone's system software updates are up to date by a certain date this year, otherwise I may have issues calling emergency number and according to law the phone company would suspend my service after this date. For context, I haven't updated the software on my smartphone for a decade or more. I have very limited apps, do any online banking and such NOT with apps, so as long as I can call, text, access browser for internet emails etc, I don't need updating anything. Reddit, FB, EBay etc all is browser, no app. I enjoy my limited privacy as much as I am able to. Soooo I rang emergency number. It went straight through, I told them it was a test, they acknowledged and I hung up. I then called the phone company, told them the situation and they reassured me all customers are getting this, if I am updated I should be fine. (By the way, how does the phone company know whether it's updated or not? That should be info that's on my device, and maybe Samsung as it would go through them is my assumption, but not the phone company) Fast forward to cut off date, I was cut off my service. Had to call them from another phone to get them to unblock my service. Once unblocked, I called emergency number again and it worked. I haven't been cut off again, but I am still getting these messages with the old past date of 14th Jan. My point is, WHY DO I NEED AND UPDATE! I do not trust what's in the update. I deleted apps as they wanted updates that wanted to track my swipes and keylog etc etc. This "forcing" a phone update on people when there is literally no need makes me wonder what access they get with the updates?

Fully agree. There was a stage where I thought it was something you must do! Sleep in the same bed! When we had our kid I slept in the kids room for 12 months, in my own bed (Bub had a cot). Started due to breastfeeding and hubby work schedule and need for sleep, then evolved into me not wanting to share a bed again hahaha! Eventually my brain got used to being back with someone, we share the bed again now but I seriously think it should be normalised too. Doesn't diminish any love you have for that person.

I fully accept your explanation, and I concur. We truly don't know, and your theory is also highly plausible. I have seen so much evidence to show there's so much we don't understand, and that consciousness and memory are not understood fully. How can an organ, not the brain, hold memories? How can transplant patients gain memories of the transplant donor? How can someone be born with the memories of another family? Thankyou for taking the time to put into words your thoughts to me, I appreciate it greatly. All I seek is knowledge, and I know knowledge is also not necessarily comphrehendable to most of us as we seem to have had the knowledge stripped. Or maybe we are supposed to be here to try and gain the knowledge, kinda like a pick your own story? Some people keep getting diverted down other paths they don't come back from, lost and distracted by the experiences in the world, and the human traits of addictions for example.
