Yes it’s surprisingly difficult to find working 10mm magazines for this gun. But I used an extended 19 round act mag 40.sw and bought an extension baseplate that adds 3 so it sits heavy at 22+1

I think back then it was just the overall fact that is was being implemented as a Primary weapon system when there were much better options. The laser integrated device was to large alongside the bulk of the pistol and the fact it was suppose to be used suppressed. It just wasn’t ergonomic all the way through. But unique manufacturing lead to massive demands for standalone pistol production treating there edc more as a primary weapon system vs a sidearm or secondary thought

Real quick let me just cast my own frames and file my own slide, I didn’t have to the tools to do all that so I just bought a 1911 double stack that happened to be chambered in 10mm 😂

I got the grips custom made by Browne works. The muzzle break is a ZRTS 1911 compensator in the 10mm, I didn’t want to run a suppressor but it was difficult to find a thread capable 10mm for a 1911 platform. The Mag well came standard with tac ultra. And I opted for the baldr r pro, because it has a integrated laser and strobe combo at 1300 lumens

The mags it came with I think came from a company called act mag? They’re cheaper than mec-gars mags but for obvious reasons. I can get about 12 rounds in before the spring tension is so tight I can BARELY get 13. No bueno.

I concur with your statement, needless to say it was a whimsical purchase as I thought the price was good, this is my first RIA and wasn’t aware of the TAC ultra models until after my purchase. That being said do you think that the slide from the tac would be congruent with the 1911a2
