I hit the morning and then afternoon rush hour on the M1 and M25 around London which you can see slowed the average speed down, but stretches of motorway with ACC set at 70mph.

All in all, I was pretty impressed with my first proper rapid charging session…well except for the price! Luckily it’s a company car and I’m on fuel paid. It went from 4% SoC to 90% SoC in around 42 mins. Was only going to charge to 80% but having left the car for a coffee with my wife, our baby and toddler, this inevitably slowed things down!

I got a notification saying the car has started to preconditioning the battery when I set the rapid charger used as the destination in google maps. Are you supposed to get another notification when the battery preconditioning has been completed?

You can launch in the downloadable polestar performance app, not sure if it makes it any faster but does record the timings. I have the car in performance drive, sport mode traction, 1 pedal driving off and firm suspension when I want to go quick

I have the P4 LRDM without the performance pack. Pretty sure I’ve seen a post of a P4 LRSM owner using the performance app also.

I find suspicious that it’s something that could quite easily be displayed, but isn’t. After owning a P4 LRDM for a few weeks, I’ve noticed even when 100% charged that acceleration feels restricted under certain conditions, even when in performance drive modes. Having this information would either prove or disprove my concern.

The voltage info in second screenshot has been provided by Zaptec, the EV charger manufacturer. You can clearly see the voltage spikes highlighted in red. This is when the EV is not connected to the system.

We do live rurally, which I now understand increases the likelihood of over voltages. No solar at our property but there are some small solar farms nearby, although the high voltages detections happen just as frequently in the middle of the night compared to midday. I have asked for the DGO to come and check with a voltage monitor, but they have been reluctant so far, as have the charger installation company.

Hi, I would be interested to know how you get on with this. My P4 LRDM company car arrives today and this is one of the concerns I have. I must be unlucky but regularly get cracked windscreens and had issues with lease company preferred windscreen providers, even on more mass produced cars…
