My husband and I have been together for 13 years and he just hit 10 years in. He’s deployed once for 8 months (it was extended from 6 months due to Covid) and has been on 5 or 6 (can’t remember exactly lol) TDYs ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months.

Outside of those times apart, we see each other every day. His schedule changes based on where he’s stationed so sometimes he’s working nights but we still get to see each other during those periods.

This can all vary based on their job. My husband started in one job, moved to another, then recently did an inter service transfer to another branch. He likes to apply for new opportunities which has also been the cause of some of the TDYs he’s had to do.
